I cannot recommend AFA enough! Paula has an incredible eye, as evidenced by her collection of unique, well maintained rental items. I really wanted tableware that set our wedding apart, which is surprisingly hard to find at any of the big rental companies in the area! But Paula and AFA have a great selection of beautiful vintage items that added pops of color to our special day. On top of that, she’s incredibly kind and really lovely to interact with! I highly recommend her and her team 🙂

I recently got married in September and worked with AFA and I am genuinely so thrilled with everything.
Jordan and Paula were an absolute necessity for my wedding planning. They are so organized, kind, informative and have GREAT ideas. They helped me find literally every single thing I was looking for. From dance floor to disco balls, table runners, anything you can think of really. Jordan ran the day of our wedding like a hall of fame athlete. She was every where the whole time and was 8 steps ahead of everything. There was not a single moment where I was looking for her or could’ve find her. Truly phenomenal. Every single detail was cared for by Jordan and it was an absolute dreamscape. Every single place setting was PERFECT. Everything I had pictured for my wedding was brought to life by AFA. Problems at the wedding : ZERO!! Jordan is seriously an all star. So kind, so reliable, and always there when I needed her or had a question.

Our business, Eastern River Farm in Maine, recently worked on a wedding as part of the vendor team together with A Family Affair, Maine. After five years of growing and styling for weddings, Paula's leadership and her team's expert coordination, cheerfulness, flexibility and focus really stands out as a world-class, top-notch, cream-of-the-crop wedding planning and design studio!! From the first meeting with us to the day-of coordination logistics, this team was incredible and coordinated together!!! Jordan booked the couples' florals through our farm. From the beginning, she had excellent communication and clear directives. Jordan provided regular check-ins along the way at perfect intervals, and didn't miss a beat, complete with colorful diagrams and information in one place which we could easily reference. We all had an interesting experience on that particular wedding, in that there was a hurricane scheduled to take place at the time of the wedding (September). Because of this, the tent rental company who had originally been hired to put up the reception tent at the venue refused to put it up (understandably). With no less then THREE days notice, this incredible team (and all the vendors they had to communicate effectively with) pulled the entire wedding together at a completely different location an hour apart from the original location. It went off PERFECTLY and without a hitch. Even on the day-of, there was question whether or not the ceremony could be outside due to the winds and rain. Paula and her team had to be ready to turn on a dime since the couple really dreamed of an outside wedding ceremony, but the time was getting slim to make some very important, major calls that would affect all other vendors in the wedding. Paula was truly composed, focused, communicated at the highest level, and stayed relaxed WITH a smile...what more could we have asked for? This was the most stressful situation we have been in, and she handled it professionally. The family was happy, the vendors were happy, and she and her incredibly flexible team was the reason the wedding was PERFECT. HOORAY to A Family Affair!! A Family Affair is by FAR thee company to hire FIRST when you are planning your wedding!!! You won't find a better team or a kinder, more wonderful group of people out there!! This business is the best of the best, and will take away all your stress in the planning process. You can rest assured that Paula and her team will totally nail it for your wedding, and your guests will talk about it forever. What are you waiting for?!!?

Paula and her crew are incredible! We hired them to design and plan our wedding this past summer. Everyone on Paula's team is incredibly talented, creative, and equally kind and fun to work with! They took our ideas and ran with them to create the wedding of our dreams. They thought of every detail - big and small - to ensure that it all ran smoothly. She troubleshooted any issues that arose beautifully and effortlessly. She advocated for us with vendors and also recommended some of the most amazing vendors to add to our team.
