I was thinking I was just getting a bus ride to the cruise ship, but this was so much more. We stopped and took scenic pictures. The driver told stories and provided information about the areas we traveled through. We went to an animal park and saw bears, reindeer and muskox with their babies. This was worth every penny and an unexpected perfect way to start our vacation! I highly recommend!!!

Fantastic Tour Experience with Alaska Tour & Travel!

Last month, a group of 8 Israeli friends, had the pleasure of booking a private full-day tour from Seward to Anchorage with Alaska Tour & Travel, and we couldn't have been more satisfied with the experience.
Daniel, the owner and manager, met us promptly at the designated spot right after we disembarked from our cruise.
Unfortunately, the weather was rainy with low visibility, and our expectations for the day were understandably lowered.
However, Daniel assured us that he would adjust the plan to make the best of the moody weather and take us to the most worthwhile attractions.
True to his word, Daniel crafted a fantastic itinerary, and we thoroughly enjoyed the entire tour.
He is not only a knowledgeable and skilled guide but also a genuinely nice person, making the day even more enjoyable for all of us.
We were truly impressed by the experience and highly recommend Daniel and Alaska Tour & Travel to anyone looking for an unforgettable and well-organized tour in Alaska, rain or shine!

Highly recommend this company! I booked transportation to our cruise ship and Anchorage Tours and Transfers provided a wonderful day of site seeing! They confirmed promptly, adjusted where we needed, they were prompt and professional. This is an Alaska owned company and they really knew the territory, down to the best local food, sights and knew the best timing for every stop with a priority to get to the ship on time. I cannot remember our guides name, but she was a delight, so fun and personable!

I booked the Seward to Anchorage airport transfer. The bus was on time, the driver lovely and informational about all things Anchorage and Alaska. She pointed out various wildlife and other scenic beauties. There was a bathroom break and she transported us safely and in a timely manner. Highly recommend for after cruise transportation!

Disappointing Experience with Anchorage Tours and Transfers

My recent experience with Anchorage Tours and Transfers on July 20th, 2024, was deeply disappointing and frustrating. I had expected a comfortable and well-organized tour from Whittier to Anchorage, but what I encountered was far from satisfactory.

Firstly, the bus provided had no air conditioning and no windows capable of being opened except in an emergency. This made for an incredibly uncomfortable journey, not just for my family, another gentleman informed the driver on multiple occasions that it was very warm inside and the air was not working for anyone, especially considering the warm weather. You could see the discomfort and annoyance on many customers faces. To make matters worse, the seating on the bus was extremely cramped, exacerbating my wife's pre-existing leg injury. The radio static the whole trip was a huge annoyance sitting in the rear half of the bus.

The handling of baggage was another significant issue. Luggage was stacked haphazardly, creating huge voids and causing suitcases to fall from as high as five feet. Soft backpacks that were placed on top to prevent crushing were instead buried under heavy suitcases. Thankful that our belongings weren't damaged.

The most distressing aspect of our experience was the drop-off itself. Despite our pleas and clear indications that the Aviator Hotel parking lot was accessible from West 3rd Avenue, the driver insisted on dropping us off two blocks away. This forced my wife and me, both of whom have medical conditions, to carry heavy suitcases uphill to the hotel. As a 100% Disabled Veteran with Degenerative Disk, Peripheral Neuropathy, and Spinal Stenosis, this was not just an inconvenience but a painful ordeal. Additionally, there is a drop-off lane directly in front of the hotel on W 4th Avenue, which would have prevented any negative review had it been used. However, the compounding issues made it clear that something needed to be said.

Throughout this ordeal, we maintained our composure and demeanor, but the lack of consideration and empathy from Anchorage Tours and Transfers was disheartening. I strongly urge this company to reconsider their approach to customer care and logistics. Dropping customers off far from their destination, ignoring reasonable requests, and providing inadequate transport conditions is unacceptable.

Given the severe discomfort and inconvenience caused, I am requesting a full refund for this tour. I hope this review serves as a wake-up call for Anchorage Tours and Transfers to improve their services and avoid putting future customers through such negative experiences.

Very nice ride from Anchorage to Seward. Our driver was very nice and offered us informative information along our route south. A very special shout-out to our driver for bringing back to the cruise port a bag I had left on the shuttle.
