Wow! We were extremely pleased with how beautiful everything turned out. We live in Houston and had our event in the RGV so our family wouldn’t have to travel. I knew I needed a place that would handle everything for us. The day of we had our hair and makeup done and just showed up to our event. My daughter chose the chipotle chicken with mashed potatoes and espagueti verde and it was delicious. The cake was four tiers and each tier was a different flavor!!! There is nothing minimalistic as previous review stated and the owner was there but I barely saw her. She let us enjoy ourselves and let the coordinator handle it all for us! I highly recommend it.

I only have great things to say about Onix Event Center we just had our Event and everything came out great. Since the first day that we went to look at the venue the girls were so helpful and full of ideas as we continued to plan the event. The day of the event they were on top of everything making sure everything was to our liking. I loved that they were always available if we needed anything. I highly recommend this place. The food and cake were delicious!

What a great experience with Ónix Event Center! From the planning to the execution of our daughters XV celebration. Ms. Paredes and Brittany her coordinator gave us so many ideas and exceptional service. Our daughter and guests were amazed by such a beautiful event that they helped me organize. Highly recommend. I don’t know what I would of done without their help.

We recently had our event here, and everything was perfect! loved the attention they had with everybody. The food was very delicious, and so was the cake! The coordinator was very helpful and nice, did everything at the time we asked for and was very attentive with us and our invites. Definitely recommend to do your special events here! 😊

Cute minimalistic event center but if you want the owner to be present on the day of your event and micromanaging everything that you and your guests do, this is the place for you. I was a guest at the event center and I can tell you that not even the Brownsville Event Center micromanages their hosts & guests to this extent given it's the city's event center. If you or guests want to take their own beer, you have to hand it over to the kitchen staff and give them your name and apparently they will be providing you your own beer since coolers are not allowed in the open space. By the end of the night the kitchen staff didn't even know what cooler was whose and were giving people beer from just any cooler. The bar service which was an extra cost provided watered-down drinks. They ask you to pay for the service but you have to buy all the items and alcohol on the side that they're going to be serving the day of the event. Dinner was from 7-8PM but be prepared to be given approximately 30 mins to eat and the tea glasses and silverware removed by 8:30PM. The waiters which are also an extra charge are trying to make their own money like if it's a restaurant only providing service to guests that are "tipping" when you're already paying them for their services to begin with. They should be treating all guests equally. Waiters had the time of their life even drinking (from the own bar you're paying for) to drink while on the job. The hosts of the party provided the drinks as mentioned above which many of those bottles were not served in the bar. When the hosts asked why the Buchanan wasn't being served the owner stated that there would be an extra charge to be giving out the Buchanan. HIGHLIGHT of the night was the police officers that were outside supervising the party came inside the event center around 11:40PM to start informing guests to leave INCLUDING the hosts when the party was supposed to end at 12AM on the clock. Music was shut down before 12AM as well. Comments from other guests were also the owner telling women at the party to clear the restroom because they were taking pictures in there because apparently "you can take pictures outside" and waited for them to clear the restroom like if they were preschoolers. Pretty sure MANY more things went on but these are the things I became aware of. Good luck to future reservations and hopefully y'all don't go through these same experiences.

I got married on April 22, 2023 here in Onix and everything went great! Onix worked with us on all of our request for the event. Their wedding packages is really the best way to go because you only deal and talk to Onix instead of multiple different vendors. Our wedding package included catering, photos, cake, DJ, bartending service and day of event coordinator. After the wedding, multiple family members had great things to say about both the waiters/waitresses and bartending service. I highly recommend Onix for your next event.
