We loved this cute place. Our room was nice, clean and quiet. We had a nice view. They have an outside area to sit and relax by the water. Only issue was that we didn’t have a car and couldn’t get to other restaurants. They wouldn’t help out with transportation and an Uber was too expensive and would’ve taken a long time to get there. They have one restaurant and it was expensive (ie $26 for a hamburger). One good option are food trucks across the street. Not bad and they had other options other than Thai food.

Please don’t trust these poor reviews. I read them before arriving at this resort and I was so upset. However, this was our favorite hotel of all of the Princess Land Tour hotels. Everything was very clean, the food was delicious. There was a gorgeous patio overlooking the river with firepits and heat lamps. Best of all, there was a trailhead right next to the property that you could walk to (but there’s also a shuttle). We hiked that trail around 3 lakes. We saw moose at the lake. It was all perfect.

Friendly staff. The room was clean. Beds comfortable. Bathroom small with very little counter space. Thought our tour advisor reserved. Creekside room but we were given a room on the parking lot side. Very noisy. BE AWARE building 700 has no micro fridge and no ice maker, had to go to building 800 for ice and to do laundry. | Building 800 was like entering an entirely different resort. Several seating areas that looked out large windows. Spacious hallways, one person staying there said her room had a microwave fridge. BEWARE food is expensive even for Alaska prices. 20 for continental and-30 for buffet breakfast. Much higher for dinner. There were restaurants within 7 miles that were much more reasonable but no shuttle service offered. Only shuttle is to train station where the park visitor center is also located. Would not stay here again.

We were enroute to another excursion, and needed a place for one night. It was expensive, but the room was fine and the grounds are pretty. The staff was friendly and helpful. As others have noted, the restaurant was a little expensive, but the food was excellent and our waiter was great.||We were really pleased when Alaska RailRoad was able to check our bags through from Fairbanks right to the hotel; the hotel shuttle driver met us at the train, collected our baggage, and it was waiting for us at the hotel.

We stayed at Denali park village for 4 nights and had a lovely stay. The staff were all kind and helpful. The buildings are a bit ugly from outside but incredibly comfy beds and spacious rooms (we’re from the UK so the bedrooms seemed massive). The lodge is perched on the edge of the river with white water rafters floating by. Our room (300 block) looked over the river which was wonderful. There is a coffee bar serving breakfast muffins etc.. it’s really expensive - but so us everything in Denali as everything is brought in for the tourist season from May-September (including all the staff). About 10 mins walk away (across the road) by a different camping lodge there are a couple of food trucks where you can get Thai or American food takeaway cheaply. Most people were either pre or post cruise. Some odd quirks eg the TV required resetting every time you turned it on to make it work. |One complaint - the free shuttle to Denali park has few return busses in the afternoon , one at 2.30 and one at 5.30pm. We skipped a visit to sled dogs (amazing and free to do and free to get to on the Denali park free busses) to get the 2.30pm bus back to avoid a long wait.

I have seen a lot of terrible reviews of this hotel, but let me relieve your concerns. This is a great hotel located just outside of the Denali National Park. The rooms are clean and tidy. I equate this to a Fairfield Inn, not luxurious, no spa, no room service, good internet service and friendly and helpful staff. There is a great coffee shop to offer Starbucks coffee, muffins, etc. The Gold Rush restaurant and The Saloon offer good service and tasty meal service and adult beverages. I would highly recommend the on property dinner theater, Cabin Nite. The food was good, served family style and the show was a lot of fun. It reminded me of the Disney Fort Wilderness Hoop-Dee—Doo show. We really enjoyed our stay here and so will you.

Great location but this is a bare minimum amenities motel. Rooms are tidy although old and dark. Our room had an underlying odor to it. Bottom floor room is noisy, plan on not sleeping if you get one of these rooms. You can hear the people above walking and talking. No fridge, no microwave.
There is nowhere to buy snacks or drinks. Breakfast buffet is cheaper for kids and teens.
Wait staff and house cleaning crew are mostly young adults who are helpful and friendly. Managers are disgruntled. We stayed for 3 nights which was too long here. It’s a one and done place.

Beautiful location with a river running through it. Various lodging was throughout the property. Some lodges had a beautiful view. Other rooms lacked a view. Some buildings had nice lounges while others had no none. Some buildings had fire pits while others did not. We had small room with no WiFi and no view. The room was pretty primitive which we were expecting. The bathroom sink was in the sleeping area. The counter was very small. There was a restaurant in the lodge and two food trucks a short walk from the lodge. Spent two nights. There was no daily housekeeping. Being at the end of the season, maybe they did not have enough help. If we were to return, I would be more select in our room location on the property. I was hoping we could walk to Denali National Park from our location but it was too far even though I thought the Denali Park Village implied it was within walking distance to the Denali National Park.
