I would not recommend booking a trip with Ivar and his company.
Ivar is merely a booking agent interested in collecting his commission. Neither he nor anyone from his agency accompanied us on the trip. While the tour guide Ivar set us up with in Cuba was excellent, everything that Ivar was responsible for was a total disaster (missing or wrong passport information on each traveler's airline ticket (which caused delays in checking in), Ivar's insistence that our group continue to go on the trip on the same day that Cuba was hit by Hurricane Rafael and subsequent rebooking of the trip instead of offering a refund as most of us had demanded). If you are looking for a tour operator for a trip to Cuba, I strongly recommend that you do not select Ivar Fiskaa and America to Cuba.

Great trip. Wonderful and really helpful and kind guide, Dorita. Driver Joel was also great - was always there on time with the comfortable small bus. Tours were the right length, covered a lot, and were informative.

Trip set up by Ivar Fiskaa, and our guide Dorita aka Dora, our bilingual tour guide who truly made this a once in a lifetime experience.

They made this a seamless process, we learned a lot about the people, the country, and had quite a unique once-in-a-lifetime experience.

The Cuba experience was second to none. Our guide, Dora, was very well informed, pleasant and helpful. In addition, the lecturer was very knowledgeable about Cuban Law and one of the most enjoyable CLE lectures that I have had.

The trip was exciting, and well planned. What I did not like is that there was some information provided to us in Cuba, regarding the dress code for some of the activities that we did not have which would have caused us to pack differently. For instance a dressy outfit for Tropicana, a hat, long sleeves and sunscreen for the open-air car tour. I did not have anything with long sleeves, and my arms were affected by the sun, despite my application of sunscreen. Fortunately, I had attire that addressed the other activities, but some of my colleagues had to scramble or buy additional items.
Notwithstanding this, I really enjoyed myself, and our tour guide Dora and driver Joel, were absolutely phenomenal.

Recently travelled to Cuba through AmericaToCuba - I cannot say enough positive things about them - from start to finish everything was arranged perfectly. Hotels and restaurants chosen were wonderful . Kristian was always available before we traveled to answer questions and help with any arrangements. I highly recommend this Company for your travel - Cuba is a wonderful country to visit and feels good to be able to help the Cuban people.

I highly recommend for a great experience. Before the trip they were extremely responsive to any questions and made sure everyone was good to go. I was pleasantly surprised at the beautiful accommodations. Our tour guide, Dora took GREAT care of us and the meals were classic and delicious. Our group tour of Cuba was a unique and fascinating experience for our law students. Ivar at Scand-America International, Inc., expertly organizing everything from A-Z. We were greeted upon arrival in Havana by a personal tour guide who accompanied our group the entire week in Cuba. We enjoyed visits to Old Havana, Cojimar (a small fishing village which was one of Hemingway's favorite places in Cuba), Finca Vigia, and the incredible Buena Vista Social Club.
