DO NOT STAY HERE.
They made us wait over two hours to check in, even with my Marriott status. Finally they started checking in others who had just arrived, ignoring myself and another man who had been waiting quite a while. No explanation for the delay was given. The hotel is generally gross. Hallways are dark, dirty and stained. The rooms were only a little better, there were stains on my bedding and the bathroom gets worse the more you look at it. I barely slept, there was loud yelling from outside late into the night and talkative crows all through the day. I have stayed in nicer trucker motels. This property is a waste of money and embarrassing for Marriott.

Great location !Right on the River Walk Walkable to Downtown.We came for New Years .Entertainment and Restaurants on Main Street.
Hotel is going thru Renovations in the Lobby area will be great when done
Check in - Went Smoothly thanks to Claire
Complimentary Breakfast open 6:30 -10:00.
Gym available and well equipped.
Pool and Hot tub available- We did not use it was to cold for us!
Room - We were on the 4th floor with River View
King bed- very comfortable. Bedding
Maid came in daily to make bed and freshen up room .
Would definitely come back.
Convenient beaches
Day trips to Sarasota and St. Pete
Loved to walk every Morning and Evening.

Here on a work trip and it's been pretty horrible.

For the sound of 300 dollars a night I have gotten nearly 0 sleep because the building is being repaired and construction sounds were disturbing my sleep since 8am. I work as a traveling manager and checked in at nearly 2 am. Originally booked the room for two nights but likely checking out early due to the fact that the construction has been so disruptive to my sleep.

Also; infestation. I bring packaged, closed food with me and I wake up in the morning with ALL OF it infested with ants including the fridge!

I've stayed at motels and super 8's that have been more accommodating, less disruptive, and no bugs.

If Springhill is available, go there. But don't consider this hotel. Get an AIRBNB instead.

Only positive side to this stay was the gentleman at the front counter overnight. He was pleasant and friendly but this stay otherwise has been subpar.

PS: charging for breakfast and any other little thing for a mediocre run down hotel room is bad business.

I called and the person I spoke with told me to go because they had rooms, when I got there 5 min later the person that was there told me they had no more rooms, then took 20 min to check me in and apparently got the worst possible room because the A/C was at 72 so I changed it to 69 hoping it would get colder but when I got up in the middle of the night it was at 78, so the next day I asked to be changed when we got back at night and the A/C difference was noticed immediately. The fitness area was great and the rugs on the hallways can use a little love. Aside from that the other front desk staff and the stay was great.

The hotel has an odor, the carpet is dirty, the tv kept buffering, the fire alarm went off & no one knew what to do.
It’s right on the river but our view was of the dumpster & carts of dirty laundry.
The riverwalk is very nice, although we were told by multiple people at the hotel not to walk at night.
Needless to say, we would not stay here again.

After days of waiting for call back from the manager if this hotel regarding my daughter's stolen purse with ID, gift cards and school ID, my daughter's accounts have slowly been getting hacked into. She has been locked out of multiple accounts, both important and non important, and we now have to get police involved and have her identity protected. I am OUTRAGED for the zero communication back to me after a brief phone call from a "manager" only after my Google review was seen, and supposedly an investigation was underway but nada! I called 2x and was told by front desk staff that the manager is still investigating and she will get back to me. Not one call just to give me an update. There are no cameras inside this property according to the staff and apparently calling customers back after property "may have been left behind" is against this propertys policy. Again as a Bonvoy member I am disgusted and authorities will be involved as well as corporate first thing in the am

I've been very happy during my stay. Each time that I've engaged the staff they have been extremely attentive to my requests and needs and quick to respond. I would certainly stay here again without any hesitation. I really enjoy the way in the lobby they have a Starbucks type of service as well as a complete bar and I found their breakfast food as provided by the hotel is very good.
