I have never been on a fishing charter in my life and had NO idea what to expect. We caught awesome, great-sized bass!! Guide Terry knows his stuff and that’s what we needed. His boat is decked out with all the bells and whistles, and we had an amazing experience. Captain Billy was the most knowledgeable, friendliest and most fun fishing guide I’ve ever had! He put us on fish and we left with dinner, we caught reds, trout, snapper, and catfish! Had an absolute blast and Captain Billy was such a friendly great person. Two of us were newer to fishing and he made sure to help and was very active in helping take fish off and rebaiting. He was such an active guide helping and teaching, I’m amazed he never took a break! I cannot recommend him enough!!!

Capt Billy is the guy you want if looking to go fishing. He has awesome boat to get all the places, he works hard all day long to make sure everybody get on fish and everyone fishing all the time. Very experience, know's the area for sure, also just a amazing guy to be around. All four of us had so much fun! Thank you so much Capt Billy. Can't wait to be back on his boat again.

Fishing to me was always this chill thing people did, drinking a beer, and waiting for a fish to bite your line. Until we went out with Captain Billy. What an amazing and educational experience. Our son gained an interest in fishing when he was three, from where we don’t know, but he’s been wanting to catch a fish. His dad has taken him fishing the past two years without success. He’s now six and we went out with Captain Billy who was patient and attentive, teaching our now six year old how to fish. Within moments he was catching fish. We learned how to bait the hook, how to get the fish “poppin’” and how to reel them in the right way. Captain Billy is a great guy to hang out with too and it meant the world to us the time he took without son. Today we went on our second trip and I’m positive there will be more to come. Thank you Billy for another great adventure! Hope to see you soon.

My husband Gary, set up our fishing Charter with Scales and Tales. It was on 3/28/21 and was so much fun!!! Our friends Matt ad Kelsey also joined us. Billy took us to a few spots and we caught fish in every spot, but the last spot was unbelievable. We caught Snook, Jack Cravalle, Lady Fish, Sea Trout, and Mangrove Snapper. We caught 60-70 fish in 6 hours! Billy was very professional and made sure that we all had a good time and he was right there to put on new baits and re-cast for me, since I am not so good at it. He grew up in the area and cares a lot about the fish and the environment. He showed us how to handle the fish so they would not be hurt. Billy has a great sense of humor and he made it a wonderful day. We will definitely book another trip with him next year.

I just came back from the best day of fishing I’ve ever had. I’ve been fishing for the better part of 50 years so that’s saying a lot. Captain Billy Barton knows the waters like the back of his hand and put us on the fish from the first cast. I lost count of the number of snook my wife and I caught. Billy is the hardest working captain I know. We had a great day and I’m looking forward to my next trip with him.
