Decent ~5 mile loop canoe trail through wetlands, and slough. Give yourselves ~4hours to enjoy Plenty of wildlife. The water lilies make it challenging to push through the 2 inches of water at times. No shade, no stops. Make sure to bring plenty of Water, sunblock, & snacks.

This is the canoe/kayak rental concession located within Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge. Paddling is limited to a 5.5 mile lollipop trail through the sawgrass prairie - about a 3 to 4 hour trip - and isn't as pretty or interesting as some other Everglades paddling trips. It's likely that gator sightings vary widely by time of year and water level. On my recent visit in May, there were no alligators, but lots of turtles and birds. The paddling was slow due to the large amount of water lilies blocking the trail. The canoes for rent are aluminum and low-end fiberglass: $35 for all day.

Full moon guided tour was very nice! Don, the guide provided tons of everglades info. The night sounds of the beautiful everglades will be a wonderful memory for a very long time. Not scary, great for families. Very educational.

Co worker suggested we try the moon light canoe which sounded amazing, supposed to be from 6-930. We made it back to shore by 850 and were rushed the entire way back. The older man stayed behind my sister canoe and harped on them to do better and go faster which just kept causing them to crash into the grooves. He kept yelling things like "THATS IT" and "IVRE HAD IT" but he still stayed behind them to yell non stop for over 20 minutes. It was their first time and when they tried to explain he got upset that myself and our friend didnt leave them behind but kept waiting for them to catch up vs him yelling at us to leave them behind (no way im leaving my sister and cousin with an angry white man yelling at them for something thats not her fault).
Over all we were the only different ones in the group and we surely got treated differently. Please don't give these people your money.

Wrong kayak tour. We went to the one off Indiantown Road in Jupiter. That one was excellent. Don’t know anything about this facility.

One of the best places to learn about the Loxahatchee area. The canoe rides are very fun and are great for those who want to work with others to do team building.
