This is such a great walking trail. My husband and I have been exploring a lot of the walking trails in the Tampa area and this one so far is one of our favorites. It’s a beautiful trail that has beautiful scenery, and tons of different butterflies flying around throughout our walk. Other than birds and butterflies we did not see any other wildlife. There is free parking with some picnic tables when you pull in. We walked the red trail which from our car back to our car was exactly 2.5 miles. this is such a lovely walk that has open and shaded areas throughout the walk.We did see the three creeks that give this trail its name. One of the creeks is towards the end of the walk and You will have to walk over logs that were placed by someone in order to cross this creek and not get wet( I attached a photo of this). I will say this isn’t a sturdy Row of logs. So if you re-not someone with good balance, this might be a section You will have to turn around and walk back in the same direction you came in. for us, this was a fun thing! We did come across a yellow trail While on the red trail, Around 1.6 miles into the walk. We decided to stay on red since we didn’t know how long the red trail would be, but we will definitely be going back to add the yellow trail to our walk. We do think this trail won’t be one that we do during the raining season as we think there will be areas of flooding throughout the trail and with all the trees, there will be more bugs, but during this time of year” winter “ in florida It’s beautiful. We went on a Sunday morning and only two cars were there while we were and we did not see them during our walk.

I went to Triple Creek nature preserve today with my daughter. We only did the red loop but it was fun. The trail is well marked, some parts are shady & some parts are sunny. There is a tiny creek you have to cross & one small tree to step over but the rest is fairly flat, grassy, or sandy. Unfortunately I didn't see deer or other animals except dragonflies, butterflies & this centipede I'm posting here.

What an awesome first time! We arrived early at 7:30 AM and were greeted by a deer just 10 minutes into our hike on the red trail. We had actually spotted another one on the road in, too! The trail was a bit challenging with some creek crossings that were pretty flooded due to recent rain. We had to get a little creative and go around the first crossing, eventually finding a board over the water on the right side. My shoes definitely got wet, but it was worth it! We completed the red trail in under an hour and had a fantastic time despite the damp feet. We even saw a caterpillar along the way!

Had fun walking with my dog through this trail. I believe we saw two of the Florida Black bears and 3 deers. There were also lots of birds and some butterflies. Beautiful place the only thing was as you are going along the red trail, in the direction of the newer houses to the yellow trail, a bit passed that yellow trail the red trail ends with red tape saying danger do not enter. So we walked all the way back around. When you go expect that for however long that tape stays up.

This nature preserve I consider a place where you can walk and relax, a place where you can enjoy nature and feel no rush at all. Here if you take the time and watch carefully you might find butterflies, flowers, cactus, and small insects, but unfortunately you will not find anything more exciting, no birds or squirrels etc. or at least as far as we walked.

Enjoyed our afternoon walk here; would visit again, but not during mosquito season... Trail notes: Winding loop trail starts in an open prairie and moves into rows of tall pines, oak hammock, and scrub. Trail crosses standing water or creek trickle at multiple points, requiring routing off trail, leaping, or walking through water. Trail also impeded by fallen sweetgum that requires straddling over to continue. Wildlife present at mid day to late afternoon included butterflies, possible small boar sighting and clear evidence of boar digging, dragonfly, and small fluttering birds in groups. Prevalance of standing water suggests mosquito season would likely be perilous here. Trail includes walk along visible border with newer housing development. Sparse attendance on weekend afternoon in ideal hiking weather as only 4 cars spotted in lot during our visit. Red trail loop was approx 2.5 miles and roughly 1.5 hours at slow walking pace with stops for photography and observation.

Great local nature preserve with a nice walking trail. I believe it is just under 3 miles to do the red loop. We didn't see much wildlife other than some birds and it was crazy to see all the houses they've built on the south side. Still a nice local area to take a nice hike.

Great park, simple. Careful there are small cactus plants, had to pull turns out of our dogs paws. And pretty sure there is no biking aloud here.
