We moved here in 2021 from Seattle. VW Bonita Springs has not disappointed us. We love it here and love our low HOA and low fees. It is a wonderfully mature and well-manicured community compared to some of the newer communities in SW Florida.

We owned a smaller place in the neighborhood for a year doing the part time thing. Then decided we loved it so much we bought a larger home and moved down full time. Landscaping is beautifully kept and the amenities are great. Everyone we've met in the neighborhood are very nice and I think we'll stay put for a really long time.

I lived there for 10 years. I downsized to a condo because I was changing careers. I knew I would not be home as often and didn’t want to pay the high HOA fees. When I knew I would not be using the amenities like in the past.
I moved to Villagio in Estero. Loved the location, but didn’t enjoy the atmosphere. Neighbors and HOA officers were not impressive.
I actually moved out because of the unfriendly environment. I’m now in Ft Myers having great neighbors and HOA like I did in Village Walk. I still have friends that I visit in Village Walk of Bonita. If you are planning on having a residence in Bonita Spring. Village Walk of Bonita is a wonderful place to call home.

Nice development with many year-round residents. Resort feel with low hoa fees because we don't have to subsidize a golf course. Nice mix of affordable units. Started in 2005 and built out in 2015, good used units available.

Very peaceful gated community with security checkin. The 'older crowd' is very active spending lots of time playing bocci ball, pickle ball, tennis, swimming laps, working out in the gym, tanning by the pool, biking, walking their dogs, etc.. The town center has a gas station, car wash, restaurant/bar, hair salon, and a list of activities they provide in the event spaces. There is constant landscaping in progress all over the facility, and sprinkler systems being used to water plants. On the down side it appeared lots of pesticides were being used on the grounds in conjunction with the use of fresh water to keep the plant life looking pristine.

This area of the Corkscrew area is one of Florida's last true dense wooded areas. Dont think so? Look on Google south of Orlando. You wont find much thick dense woods. Orangetree to me is waste of development. They need to focus on PRESERVING not conserving corkscrew area. As in, dont touch the area. This development is in the dab center bottom of it and is now prone to bear activity. Do your research folks. Is it a nice looking area? Sure. But id much rather see Preserving the area instead. Also areas around rookery bay should also be preserved off tamiami trail or the watershed will be threatened.
