Lots of trails both sun & shade. Dog friendly. Trash cans. I did not see bathrooms… there are many entrances to these trails where you can find parking. This location is right in the middle of Lakewood ranch summerfield neighborhood which is known as the “family neighborhood” in the Lakewood ranch area. Very clean & beautiful. Adolescentes or young adults smoking a joint on the bridge, lots of people walking their dogs, couples out on their daily walks. Definitely get 5 miles walk here.

The park boasts a variety of trails, offering a delightful experience for families. The bike routes are particularly enjoyable and serene. My partner and I often indulge in coffee and cookies while lounging by the lakeside branches. The park's natural beauty is captivating, with ample shaded areas to savor the surroundings. Although one of Sarasota's most scenic parks, it lacks restroom facilities. Wildlife sightings are moderate, but mosquitoes can be bothersome after sunset. Nonetheless, feel free to explore and enjoy a leisurely stroll in this charming setting.

Great park to walk. The Trails are paved or crushed and packed. It is very well maintained. They do have a dog waste station at the beginning of the trail. Plenty of shade depending on the sun's position. A couple of benches and picnic tables. The walking bridge leads to a play area and dog park but the gates for dog park are locked unless your dog is registered and you have a key. It took me 45 minutes to complete trail only because my dog had to sniff everything.

A great nature trail park that's deceptively large with maybe a mile of trails and two sizeable lakes. Forest trail is well shaded. Great number of birds to see too. There may be alligators, but I didn't see any only visit.

Love this nature park and walking trail! Picturesque and calming. A good combination of sun and shade. Plenty of benches along the way to rest or just take in the beauty of the day!

I took my pup for a quick walk. The trail has several routes (routes around the two lakes or through the palms), is relatively easy to walk, and offers a scenic view of Florida and its natural beauty. Tip- bring plenty of water and wear a hat. The Florida sun can be unforgiving.

This place lives up to its name! One minute into our walk we heard screeching and came upon a heron's nest. Lots of activity and noise, it was great. There's are some amazing parts to this walk including an island with hundreds of whistling ducks. That part is so good. There is easy parking and lots of peace and quiet to be had in this lovely part of the world. Recommended.
