Our family and friends had the pleasure of fishing with Captain Casey on Jan 10, 2024. The day before had weather warnings of gusty winds, torrential rains, and tornadoes! We never got a cancellation notice and remained confident in Captain Casey's expertise. Turned out we had a wonderful day... no wind, calm waters, partly cloudy skies, temperatures in the 60's, and very few boats to compete with.

We had a party of six with only two experienced fishers. Captain Casey was on his own and handled everyone and everything very well. He was patient, helpful, accommodating, personable, and just "easy going." His main objective was to get everyone a catch, followed by multiple fishes, and lastly, to yield enough for dinner. I'm happy to say Captain Casey achieved all of his and our goals. It wasn't the most ideal fishing conditions (with the recent storms and colder temps) but we stayed an hour longer to finish the job and saw some playful dolphins. Every catch was photographed by the proud Captain and he filleted the fishes at the end.

A big reason for our party's enjoyment came from being very comfortable on Captain Casey's boat. There was plenty of room for six to just relax or fish from around the perimeter. We didn't need shade but there was a canopy for warmer days. The seats were plush and easy on the butts and backs.

Everyone in our group expressed their satisfaction and joy from the whole fishing trip. We each had our own unique experiences (ie, my son's amazement while holding a blow fish, my daughter's delight with catching the biggest Sheepshead, my wife's excitement with her first ever catch, all of us in awe while watching dolphins play and jump around) thanks to Captain Casey.

Thanks for a wonderful and memorable experience. We would do this again in a heartbeat and only if Captain Casey is available.

SECOND TRIP & REVIEW:

Our family and friends had our second annual fishing charter with Captain Casey on Feb 22, 2025 and it turned out to be even better than the first one. There were several factors going against us: cloudy skies, very low tide, and an unexpected cold front dipping the water temperature to 62F. It started out with little to no bites at our first two locations but Captain Casey remained optimistic. He decided to take us north where there were plenty of hungry fish. It was remarkable how Captain Casey knew when and how long to stay at one area before moving on to better our chances.

We had a party of six with experienced and newbie fishers. Captain Casey knew how to relate and was very personable to everyone. He patiently and calmly moved from one person to the next and made sure we all had a line in the water. At various times during the trip, there were multiple snagged lines, fish on, broken hooks, or bait needed. Captain Casey made it look easy as he maneuvered around the boat and took care of us all. He also casted several lines for us to make sure he met his main objective… to get everyone a catch. We ended up staying out an hour longer due to the slow start and eventually hauled in 12 fishes for dinner and had to toss back several more. Captain Casey photographed every catch and filleted them all at the end 🙂

Everyone of us enjoyed Captain Casey but even more so, we loved how comfortable his pontoon boat was to sit and watch or fish around the perimeter. The seats were plush and there was plenty of room for six guests.

We were all very satisfied and more than happy with the whole experience. Thanks to Captain Casey, each one of us had our own unique experiences (ie, my son catching the first two fishes to earn $10, my son’s girlfriend who was proud to catch the biggest Sheepshead, my wife’s awe after reeling in a stingray, and my friend’s amazement at seeing multiple dolphins).

Thanks again for a wonderful and memorable experience. We would love to do this as many times as we could afford it and only if Captain Casey is available.... he's definitely one of the best.

Captain Casey was exceptional. He was very knowledgeable about the area and was able to share tons of fun facts about all the wildlife we passed on our 4 hour boat tour. Our 5 year old and 2.5 year old were engaged and entertained the entire time. Captain Casey really honed in on their interests and kept them excited and busy by pointing out dolphins and pelicans, digging up shark teeth, sand fleas, and shells. We highly recommend booking a boat trip with Captain Casey… It was the highlight of our vacation!

Captain Casey was awesome! We did the dolphin/wildlife/sandbar and it did not disappoint! Captain Casey was so knowledgeable about the area, the wildlife, and exactly where to go. We saw several dolphins, tons of birds and some great sandbars. Highly recommend!

My friend and I visited from Texas and had the best day with Captain Casey! We wanted to see some special beaches and wildlife and Casey’s trip more than exceeded our expectations! We saw 4 groups of dolphins playing, an incredible sandbar, and a mangrove beach. We’ve never had an experience like this before and can’t wait to come back! Another great adventure with Captain Casey! Our day was filled with an abundance of dolphin and manatee sightings as well as birds and other wildlife! You will not be disappointed if you choose Sarasota Saltwater Adventures as Casey is very knowledgeable of the area. We saw all the beauty of Siesta Key from a waters view today!!

Captain Casey is very knowledgeable with the area and helped us all catch a fish even one that wasn't planning on fishing...lol.... He showed us things that we will never forget.
