I cannot express enough how Amazing the staff And management is at Flordia Underwater Sports As well as their awesome facility. I came into this place over a month ago with Absolutely no knowledge of Scuba Diving Other than wanting to scuba dive for a long time. From the time I walked in and registered for my first course in open water dive and buy my first set of gear there from Heather; Not only did I feel comfortable and more confident in myself, Heather and the staff set me up for success from the beginning to the long-term run. Not once did I ever feel Pressured into doing something that I didn’t feel comfortable with as well as feel like you’re being forced to buy something for no reason. Heather and the staff really guided me into all the pros and cons of different equipment. This facility has everything you could need or want from a scuba diving center and have great prices that are very competitive throughout all of Florida from what I have seen from multiple dive shops. On top of the amazing facility and the management; The instructors are beyond phenomenal And attend to every students needs in a professional and caring manner. Each instructor has such an extensive background that you will come out of your first and second dive with great knowledge in scuba diving, but you will also come out of each class with great Confidence and positive self-esteem. I have been to a couple different dive centers now For different certifications Around Flordia and I can say from personal experience That you will not get similar quality and quantity compared to Flordia Underwater Sports.

Wonderful place, professional and kind staff. They have a wide range of equipment, bacikally everything you need for diving. I got an Open Water Diver license for my daughterwith them. Thay also have diving tours, and of course you can rent gear here. I want to specifically highlight the enthusiasm and energy of instructor Ally. Simply superb, beyond all praise. Highly recommend!

As a part-time dive guide my equipment gets used on a fairly regular basis. Had a BCD component go bad, and it ended up being a proprietary part, requiring more than my basic competence to fix. Went into Florida Underwater Sports SRQ and within 15 minutes had a technician fix the issue, and at a price that was equivalent to just purchasing the part online. Incredible deal, and amazing customer service that is so often absent in all businesses these days. I've browsed around in this business a few times before and it is now my go to place for immediate gear purchases, maintenance, and repair. Highly recommend them for anyone in the Sarasota county area. You will enjoy doing business with them, and walk away feeling like you got top end service at an Amazon price!

I recently had the absolute pleasure of completing my Adventure and Rescue Diver courses at Florida Underwater Sports, and I simply cannot express enough how incredible the entire experience was. Easily the best scuba shop in Sarasota! I’ve recently been certified here with the help from my guy Scott Kerns!! Top notch Coach, best in town. If you don’t know now you do! Lindsey and Heather are also some top notch dive instructors and went above and beyond helping me out to feel confident in the water! Love the opportunities to dive with the shop and they grill out after their weekend dives. How awesome!!

I highly recommend this dive shop to anyone—whether you’re new and wanting to become a certified diver, or a pro on vacation looking to get some dives in, FUS has you covered. They’re a PADI dive shop, and they take safety seriously! If the seas are bad, then they’re not putting you in the water. They’re a trust but verify type of diveshop—they want to see your cert card, but will let you plan and execute your dive. Their shop has all the gear you need. They carry ScubaPro BCDs, reg, masks, and wetsuits. They carry a variety of brands for accessories. They have one of the only dive charters out of Sarasota, and it’s affordable. I’ll pay $100 for a 2 tank gulf charter (tanks and weights included) any day. Their staff have an expansive knowledge of the various dive sites, and their divemaster dive with you. You catch the boat at Philippi Marina, and you’re on your way. FUS will be the dive shop I dive with whenever I return to Sarasota.
