Stay away from here. I wish I would have read the reviews prior. It was an awful experience. Can’t keep track of the amount of roaches that spent the night with us. Television didn’t work and they said maintenance would come and fix it but that never happened. Our room had an air conditioning unit that worked. But none of the settings worked to change the room temperature. We needed heat, the room was an icebox at 61 degrees. Can’t believe this hotel can even stay open.

I just checked in. You can't beat it for the price. Nikki was very helpful and kind at check in. It definitely needs some TLC. However I am highly grateful to have a roof over my head until I move into my home. It looks like the people that live here all the time need to put more care into it as well and not leave it all on the hotel. People need to be more mindful.

During my recent stay at the La Vista Inn, I encountered numerous issues that made it the worst hotel experience I've had to date. Unfortunately this stay was due to the last hurricane. Despite my extensive travel history, this hotel's problems were particularly notable. The door lock was broken, and despite being reported, it was not fixed during my last week stay. To make matters worse, the key card lock also broke, requiring staff assistance to access my room. When I expressed my concerns to the manager, I was told that the staff could not accommodate my request for unlimited access to my room and that if I was unhappy, I should check out. Unfortunately, the hotel's environment was also plagued by drug addicts, homeless individuals sleeping in the pool area, and litter scattered throughout the parking lot and walkways. The constant police presence and disturbances throughout the night only added to the sense of unease. It's no wonder that this hotel has a 2-star rating. On the other hand, the housekeeping staff and some of the front desk employees were exceptional and more helpful than the manager.

The Worst Hotel Stay Ever

La Vista Hotel Inn in Port Richey, FL, was an absolute nightmare. From the moment we stepped into the room, everything was disgusting. There were NO sheets on the bed, the bathroom looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months, and the room was freezing cold with no way to adjust the temperature. Despite it being labeled as a non-smoking room, it smelled like an ashtray had been dumped everywhere—it was nauseating.

The TV was useless, barely functioning, and added to the overall frustration. The fridge? A giant block of ice. To make things worse, there was no phone in the room, so if an emergency happened, we’d be completely screwed. On top of that, the people upstairs were stomping and yelling all night, and there was no one at the front desk to help us. The staff was nonexistent, and when we finally went to check out, the person in the office bolted before we could say anything.

The only "positive" was the pool, which looked clean, but it was so cold outside that it didn’t even matter—it was completely useless.

This place is a total scam. The room was beyond filthy, smelled awful, and felt unsafe. The only reason we stayed was because we’d been drinking at a nearby party and couldn’t drive home. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Avoid this dump at all costs!

Nope don't waste your money unless you want roaches to go with you in your bags when you leave & crackheads to hang around begging you for money! Mold in the bathroom and on the sheets! The window lock is broken they won't fix it or move rooms so anyone can enter! I'll just go f myself on that I guess... The key card didn't work for a week and I couldn't leave the room with all the crazies/druggies around. It's not the front desk/staff fault but the owner should be ashamed! I've got the pics to upload as proof.... Roaches in the fridge and microwave. And stains all over the mattresses just look for yourself.

Since relocating here after the hurricanes, I have honestly had a really great experience with all of the staff! Even though we have all of our own stuff, including linens, housekeeping will still knock on a regular basis asking if we need anything.

Management and front desk staff have always been sweet and accommodating! I feel like a pain in the butt if I'm needy lol, but they never make me feel like I am. I truly appreciate genuine interaction with employees wherever I go.

They keep up with the property, so there is never garbage strewn throughout the parking lot and buildings.

I booked a room here through Booking.com to stay here. I called today to see if I could check in early tomorrow only to find out I do not have a reservation! Mind you I got a confirmation email for tomorrow and La Vista took the payment as well. They claimed they didn't but my bank statement says otherwise. The guy on the phone was rude. I had to call from a different number because he was avoiding answering my call. Now I have to look for a room last minute in a town where everything is booked because there are a lot of locals staying in the hotels because their homes were damaged in the 2 hurricanes. I am happy something told me to call and I didn't show up with my pets in the morning and have no where to go! This has been a nightmare experience! After I actually seen the hotel, they did me a favor. My dogs would have left with fleas! I'd give this place 0 stars if I had a choice

One health department call from being shut down. Roaches were very friendly! Saw at least 6 before we even stepped all the way in. We did get our money back with no hassle Expedia was quick to refund us. Good luck yall stay safe ❤️
