Another site worth seeing near Eye of the Needle is White Falls. From The Eye, cross the Sipsey at the 209 crossing east of the rapids, then continue east ½ mile or so until you see a small creek on your right with a large campsite. Go through the campsite to the trail along the small creek. Follow it for ¼ mile or so to the end

Amazing backpacking trip. found my way thru the rock wall way after dark (saving us) and I found fresh water where my companion thought there was none. magical place!

Nice hike. Untouched by the wildfires. The eye isn't much of an eye anymore though part of the cliff has tumbled down the hill.
