We had an incredible experience with Mellow Ventures. We stayed on The Outpost — an all-mod-cons houseboat — on the edge of the backcountry. Rob took us out there and we stayed the night, stargazing (thanks to its red-lit interior that doesn’t affect your night vision) and, in the morning, watched a fabulous sunrise before taking the kayaks around a nearby island. It’s got a gas BBQ out the back, a gas oven inside, comfy beds, two kayaks and two paddle boards … wow!

We had a fantastic half day boat trip with Captain George. He took us on a fun ride, pulled up to a beautiful sandbar where we could swim and wander up to an island. Then we rode through the mangroves to see the wide varieties of birds in the area.
It was a terrific outing.

We had a great experience doing a snorkeling trip with Jo with a group of four friends. She was extremely knowledgeable about the area and conditions, took great care of us on the boat, and was super fun to spend the half day with. We'll definitely be back to Key West, and when we are, we'll be calling Mellow Ventures again. Thank you!

We rented a tiki boat for my family of five. We took the sunset tour which lasted two hours. We also rented the whole boat for only our family during this pandemic to be as safe as we can be, well worth the money even if no pandemic. The captain was very knowledgeable about the tiki boat and the sites along the way, also very funny. I would give the tiki boat sunset cruise six stars if i could. Go and enjoy!

We really enjoyed our half day eco tour. They were great with communication ahead of time all the way until day of service with particular attention to trying to accommodate our specific trip requests. Our guide was very friendly and worked hard to ensure the best time possible. Will book again next time we’re in Key West.

Thank you Rob for the experience of staying the night on the Outpost. This is by far the best place to stay while in key west. It is in such a beautiful location with the perfect view of sunrise and sunset. The amenities that come along with it only made for a more enjoyable time. There is so much wildlife in this area anytime I’d look in the water I’d see something and be amazed. Rob is an amazing captain and has made this first trip to the keys for my girlfriend unforgettable. We will be sure to be staying with you again. After staying the night on the boat be sure to book an eco tour with them so you can see even more of what the keys have to offer and see secluded beaches with no one else around. If you need a place to stay in key west or want to have a great day on the water, Mellow Ventures is the way to go.
