I can't thank Courtney and Bev enough for all they did for me. They became my family. I miss them. Courtney worked with me to put a day together I will never forget. Protea is filled with peace, love and joy. From the moment we got there Bev and Courtney took care of our every need plus so much more. The day was one we'll never forget. This wedding venue is exactly what I envisioned for my wedding day. Courtney was amazing in always getting back to me when I had questions or concerns. Both Courtney and Bev did such an amazing job the day of wedding and making sure everything was how I wanted. They did such a great job. I was so extremely lucky to have my wedding here. The weather was beautiful after just days of having a hurricane. The drive up to the barn is breathe taking with the big oak reefs and all the horses around. I highly recommend this venue. Not only for weddings but other events! Thank you again Courtney and Bev for making our special day turn out perfect!

Protea is truly a beautiful venue. The tunnel of Grand Oaks leads you to an elegant and rustic barn with all the amenities to provide wedding parties a comfortable experience. As a photographer, I was so impressed by Courtney + Bev's attention to detail in making both the Bridal Suite + Groom's Suite perfect for photos. In person, you can see they carried this intention throughout the entire layout + design of the venue.

The romantic views are absolutely stunning at Golden Hour especially for photographs. Above all, the owners are wonderful and work tirelessly for their couples + guests.

It's always a pleasure to be invited back to capture for our couples and friends. Protea comes highly recommended and will always remain special to us.

This was an amazing place for our wedding. Courtney, the owner, was attentive and always quick to respond. She had great suggestions throughout the process. We loved the natural beauty of the venue and it was the perfect place for a beautiful southern style wedding. The restored barn had great charm with all the luxury amenities one would want. The property is lined with 100 year old live oaks which made it the perfect backdrop to say "I do". We did the all inclusive wedding package and which made the process that much easier. Courtney set up all the appointments with the vendors and handled all contracts and payments. We feel so fortunate to have found this beautiful spot for our special day.

Protea made our day so special! From the first day we toured the facility Courtney and her husband made us feel like family. The barn alone is absolutely incredible! Paired with the beautiful landscape and magnificent trees, it is like a dream! Protea provides many options for outdoor ceremonies as well as indoor options! The wood tables and chairs hardly need decorations and the high, open ceilings and beams create a beautiful environment to celebrate any occasion. The white background of the tall barn doors provided a perfect private and beautiful backdrop for our first look and family pictures! We chose to get married in the new Jasmine wall location which is perfect to come out of the bridal suite without being seen by guests and beside the parking lot so it is easy for guests to get to as well.

On the day of our wedding, Courtney and Bev made sure everything went off without a hitch. A surprise shower came through and they made sure we all remained calm and assured us things would work out. The rain stopped as soon as it was time for me to walk down the aisle. Then there was a mix up with my cake and they handled the vendor with such grace and poise that the guests didn't even know there was a mix up. The cake arrived right on time! I cannot thank them enough for making our day absolutely perfect. I would recommend Protea 10/10 times!

My husband and I had the pleasure of getting married at Protea on February 2021. Working with Courtney was a pleasure. We really enjoyed the venue and so did our guests. Both the indoors reception and outdoors wedding ceremony turned out to be a dream. With the package that we selected, the ceremony and reception chairs and tables were all included as well as a few other services. They also provide an excellent list of preferred vendors to help make wedding planning easier. I highly recommend this venue for an elegant barn wedding.

We began searching for venues this past spring and decided on Protea because of the beautiful barn and surrounding oak trees. Courtney and Bev were great to work with leading up to the wedding - they communicated quickly and were patient with our many questions. On the day of the wedding, they went so far above and beyond our expectations! We truly did not have to stress about anything - they coordinated with all of the vendors, helped guide all of the wedding party, set up and tear down, and were just genuinely good and kind people to work with. Courtney even kept an eye on our senior dog during the reception while we danced the night away with our guests! We are so happy with how everything went and HIGHLY recommend Protea for your big day!
