ALL'S WELL THAT ENDS WELL, RIGHT?

This business owner's prompt handling of this matter and listening (taking to heart my suggestions that I felt and still feel could go a long ways towards preventing this from ever happening again to any other SCOTT's customer in the future, including myself, of course, right!?) ..

This business owner's prompt handling of this .. brought me to edit (by adding to) my original 1-Star Review rating, and in so doing "Level'ed up" this Google Review on up to now being a 5-Star out of 5-Star rating.

I would have been able to rectify this Google Review sooner, had I not been out of town from the point The Owner took care of this matter and my getting back in town again.

In fact, I only just a few minutes ago finally successfully retrieved my 4 "previously misplaced" dress shirts, that SCOTT's had lost track of.

IN SUMMARY:
Soon after my having posted my original "scathing", yet truthful, Review .. The Owner personally "tracked down", figured out and called me to explain what had happened to my 4 dress shirts that they'd lost track of, and explained that their seeing to stains on my 4th dress shirt, had delayed their completing my order due to my 4th dress shirt's needing additional "processing time" n order to get the results of this extra-cleaning needed.

Plus there was the fact that their computer system was actually down when I dropped these off, which seemingly made this order of mine behave like a ghost in their system, being noted as there, yet without tracking as to where these 4 dress shirts "were" exactly.

My original 1-star review follows:
BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE! 1 star is not low enough of a rating. SCOTT'S "LOST" all four of my fancy, formal, French cuff, white business dress shirts (including a tuxedo shirt or two). SCOTT'S could NOT even find them!

SCOTT 'S had no record of where they were. SCOTT'S only showed "These are in the process of having something done with them" (these were in limbo in other words, had slipped through the cracks). This was even though these were dropped off THE PRIOR/PREVIOUS WEEK on Wednesday, Nov 13th.

SCOTT'S had them 6 days from Nov 13th to 19th! I was told they would be ready for pickup on Tues the 19th. They lied. I went there TWICE on this day, and they could NOT find these either time!

Long story short, SCOTT'S LOST ALL 4 OF THESE FANCY WHITE DRESS SHIRTS which cost me a pretty penny, that would cost me perhaps $200 to replace!

[ADDITIONAL NOTE:
What really annoyed me is there being NO SUPERVISOR OR OWNER that could have been simply a phone call away, if not there on premises, to take charge of getting this ALL figured out and seen to immediately then and there, so that I could have left there in a positive, "being-cared-for", frame of mind ..

.. instead of my leaving there "frustrated and fuming" enough to take the time to write the scathing, negative review I immediately left SCOTT's which ended off with a final warning to folks stating something to the effect of:

BE WARY ABOUT GIVING SCOTT's YOUR BUSINESS!]

FINAL THOUGHTS:
Instead, understand SCOTT's people do care about you and your items you drop off in their care for them to see to ..

.. much like one's child or children one drops off at a Daycare facility, SCOTT's Owner has committed to having now taken steps to make sure something like this will likely never be able to happen again, to myself or any other of their Customers.

Our experience has been phenomenal so far... My daughter found a wedding dress at a thrift store with a stain, but it fit, and she liked. Well, they have managed to remove the stain and make minor alterations, and the dress is looking fantastic. Can't wait to see the final results. Went to Scott's cleaners because of their reviews, and honestly, they're even better.

This was the Work of Scott's Cleaner bought a Pair of pants that I needed to have a Custom Look and of Course to compliment my wife and the Gathering of my Family.Amazing I use to deal with Sun prices are always rising and not to much on Honesty don't get me wrong made some great friends.But now it's time for the next chapter in my Styles and Looks and Scott Cleaner has won it🏆.The ladies were so nice and to know I live and been in the neighborhood was a joy for them both so I will be returning and making this one of my new homes Thank you again Scott Family for Great Service..🙏😇😁

My husband had 3 suit coats, 1 tuxedo, and 2 dress slacks dry cleaned at this location recently. He was very happy with the service and the results also. It was also same day pickup! I dropped off in morning before work and picked up after. The price was fair for the service provided. We will definitely return! Thank you!

Wish I could give zero stars. I took my wedding dress here to be cleaned. I brought it in the garment bag from the boutique and hanging on the hanger I had made with my husbands last name. When I picked it up, it was given back to me on a wire hanger and plastic bag. Turns out they threw away my special custom hanger and boutique garment bag. I just assumed all those items would stay together with the dress, if not, why wouldn’t they have informed me the day I dropped it off. Those 2 pieces had a sentimental value to me and they simply didn’t care. I was told someone would call me and they would try looking for them. Never heard back. This was a few months ago, just now got around to writing a review. Don’t ever trust bringing something sentimental here.

I have used Scott’s Cleaners for 34 years. I had some concerns recently. Ed, the owner, was immediately responsive, reached out to me and we had a polite and informative discussion that also addressed my concerns and restored my confidence in this being the best dry cleaning and laundry service in this area.

The staff at Scott's Cleaners were friendly and polite, however I did find issue with the weighing of my items. I dropped my clothes for washing and folding, which weighed at 10 lbs. from my home scale, however at pickup I was charged for 20 lbs. I brought it to their attention and my clothes then reweighed at 16lbs, offering me a refund at that weight. A 6 lbs. difference as a consumer, is seen as dishonest and a profit maker for sure. I find it very poor business practice to charge at one rate and then reweigh at another. My laundry bag was not returned to me as well, which added to my aggravation. They did make good on the bag however. Unfortunately, I will not be a return patron to Scott's Cleaners.

We do a lot of dry cleaning. Scott's does excellent work and if a button is loose, they will even sew it back on at no charge. Always friendly and never lost an item. They also processed/boxed my daughter's wedding gown & it came out great, too.
