This review is for the Starfish Beach Cottage and BeachHouseFL. The location, home and amenities were great. The layout of the home is perfect for multiple families. We would have loved this and come back every summer if the property was well maintained and cleaned. The floors and bathrooms were gross. I ended up sweeping the floors myself because my six-year-old was finding confetti, bachelorette party favors and popped balloons on the floor. There was leftover hair in the shower drains as well as black mold. The pool was not clean and we found broken glass near the pool area.

I contacted BeachHouseFL twice via email after our stay to provide feedback. I would have been satisfied with the return of the cleaning/other fees but never received a response. I got plenty of communication via email when our deposits were due. To me the lack of response says that they don't care. I would not rent any properties from this site.

Rented a property from them for almost $6000 for 4 days on Clearwater Beach over Labor Day weekend in 2024. There was cockroaches, an exposed gas line, not enough beds, and many other upsetting issues. Host helped a little, but then stopped answering a day into our stay. We have been fighting with her through BBB, VRBO, and other companies to get an answer. Her only response is that we stayed at the property (suggesting 20+ people should have found another rental on labor day weekend in clearwater) so she is offering us 10% off our next stay.

If you look at their BBB profile, they have numerous complaints just like mine. VRBO has taken them off their website for multiple complaints and cases open to their Health and Safety Team.

Find another place to stay. The disgusting house and awful management team isn't worth it.

This place is not someone I would rent from again. Im not a fancy person and as long as it sleeped it worked. The house has some major issues including 1 remote for 4 tvs, very small pool, bed frames tied together with dog leashes. Dust everywhere. After a night in the house and no contact about other issues, we found bed bugs. No response from owner until the bedbug photo was sent. 5 hours later and no response.

Our family stayed at Vista Del Mar in 2022. At the time the house was in need of some maintenance but overall we had a good experience. Our experience in 2023 was terrible and truly a nightmare. The house is falling apart and needs serious renovation. The gas stove doesn't work properly and is a hazard, the master shower head is broken as are others. We checked in after a bachelorette rental and the house was covered in glitter, condoms, filthy unsafe pool, dirty linens and blood on floor in master. It was not properly cleaned or sanitized. Karol the property manager is impossible to reach and doesn't resolve issues properly. Extremely disappointing impact to our family vacation. Value not there for price paid.

Rented the Vista del Mare beachfront house from this company. The house is very nice but need some maintenance. The reason for the 1 star is that Karol from this company is extremely difficult to get a hold off unless she needs payment. I sent Karol a message telling her that there was a leak from the roof. She asked me to send picture whih i did and never heard back from her.

I send her another text on saturday morning telling her that a smoke detector was beeping. She responded 4 hours latere asking me which one. I told her it was one of the ones on the second floor. She never responded back and we had to spend the whole day and night with the beeping noise and it was still beeping when we left on sunday morning.
Very annoying to hear that sound all day and night. We spent good money for a good house and service. The house was good but the service was TERRIBLE.

DO NOT STAY HERE....We were excited to book this house months in advance. We made the 3 day drive down to the cambria house in clearwater florida only to discover it is nothing like it looks in the pictures. When we first pulled up the trash cans were leaking nasty liquid into the driveway. We walked through the back gate only to find a nasty orange hot tub and the pool looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. There was stuff floating on the water and all over in the bottom, which could have been over looked, however they said the cleaning person would be there just a few hours prior to our check in and there seemed to be something slimy looking growing on the bottom of the pool as well. When we got to looking around the actual house we noticed lots of things looking especially dirty (stuff not looking clean, some of the door frames looked absolutely filthy) and then we started walking bedrooms and one of the bedrooms in the main part of the house had black mold growing all around the air vent in the ceiling and also in the livingroom above the ceiling fan... over half of our group have breathing problems. Staying here was not an option at that point. We loaded up again to find somewhere else last minute to stay and also seen a fishing pole propped in the front, side bedroom window keeping the window "locked" in place. They waited hours after our 1st phone call to them to even respond about the condition of the house. When they did finally reach out they offered us 2 other rental properties and a full refund. We politely declined the other houses as we had already found open rooms at the Hilton resort and were exhausted from the trip and didn't want to move again after everything. We kindly asked to be refunded since we were supposed to be staying there a week and then had to find another accommodation on such short notice. We didn't hear back from them until late the next day and was told there was no black mold growing (Despite the pictures we took and showed to them) and we could either stay at the house or lose our reservation and not get a refund as they held this property for us for so long.
I could really keep going on about how bad this property was but really I just want to prevent this from happening to someone else who just wants to relax and enjoy their get away. This is not the house to do that in. The pictures look so much different then what you are actually getting. Never ever again will we trust anything like this. Terrible property, terrible service, just all together terrible.

FABULOUS! The whole family loved this holiday. Somerset Place is a vacation rental home - apartment complex you can rent out for up to 28 people and we had that many for 2 nights. The rental property right on Clearwater Beach was comfortable for all of us. And the best part is that you can walk to everything. The beach is GORGEOUS in front of the property, well like 100 meters from the door and it is so much less crowded than the normal part of the beach.

The rental home has a patio area with a rather small pool between the 2 buildings. While it is small for the total complex, the pool is clean and big enough to make the kids happy and keep the adults cool. We rented during June this year and I am finally getting around to writing the review. We love this company. BeachHouseFL and Alan were so nice and helpful. Sorry we called you guys out to help us so many times. You were good sports and so patient. We will be back again and again.

We stayed at the Kelly Beach Bungalow and had a fantastic visit! Bravo to the rental company. We were looking for a little bit out of the way during the crowded summer and this home rocked our world! What a pretty house and a quiet beach. Private access to the sand just right across a tiny street in front of the home. We will be back again for sure. Huge bargain for what you get here!! Love this hidden part of the busiest Clearwater Beach area. For a beach rental property you can't beat it.
