We were passing through town on a road trip from Florida to North Alabama. Unfortunately we pulled into this area at 7:00 p.m. and all the shops were closed. There was absolutely nothing we could do so we took this one picture and headed out of town to our hotel.

But during the few minutes that we were there we met a gentleman who told us the story of how when he was in high school the students would take turns stealing The boll weevil off of the statue as a prank. ? Kids!

This was a neat monument however, being in the middle of intersection made it a little difficult to enjoy closeup.

Downtown Enterprise was very nifty! There's an eclectic mix of clothing, restaurants and specialty shops. Including a photography studio, Ballroom Dance class, Shopaholic, Simply South Boutique, You Nique Boutique, Daughter Dear Boutique pOpshelf, Corks & Cattle Restaurant, to man a few! They also have unique year round events!

The Monument did not have as much historical information or ability to get close to it as I would have hoped. I wish they could have out some grass around it. It's in the middle of the intersection.

Finally found a statue figurine at the patriot supply place one the square. The statue is smaller that it looks in pictures and in the middle of the street. If you want a good picture you have to stop in the cross walk to do it. The streets were busier than you would think for such a small town. Was there at 4 pm on a Thursday.

Loved it. There was so much to see and do. Lots of vendors and a great atmosphere. Edited to add...these pics were taking during the Fall Festival on Main.

I was really excited to go see the Bill Weevil monument after learning about it in class and while it isn’t very big, the history behind it is incredible! Plus, this part of Enterprise is so nice to walk around! This is definitely worth the trip!
