Honestly a decent zoo that doesn’t get the attraction it deserves. While it lacks in the child-development, learning and activity areas, the cost, ease of access, and most importantly, animals are great! I visited shortly after a storm and I’m pretty sure there was only one or two other families there, so I do hope that this zoo is seeing local visitors often. I think I enjoyed the elephant lookout the most, but I enjoyed everything and would definitely return.

This is a really good zoo to bring your children to. We enjoyed it all though it was a really hot day they have little water misters that spray water to cool you off located through out the zoo. The food was a bit pricey but it was a good experience so it was worth it. I definitely plan to bring my grand children back again.

We took our 4 month old baby for an afternoon stroll through the zoo. It was beautiful day and there was no line. It wasn't very crowded so we had time to enjoy all the exhibits and not feel rushed. Great experience & would definitely return!

While the on-phone customer service originally turned my mom and and I off of this zoo, they eventually were willing to work with us and the staff in person was just wonderful. I will say, be very careful not to confuse Giraffe Encounter ($3 and bought in person) with the Giraffe Experience (what my mom and I wanted to do, $65 and must be reserved online 72 hrs in advance). Thankfully, after some talking with the phone staff, we were able to get a spot reserved for the next day (my mom was coming from out of town and we had gotten confused on the website). Once there, everyone was very friendly and kind. We especially loved our guide for the Giraffe Experience, JJ. She was so knowledgeable and friendly, and she really went out of her way to make the time special for us. The giraffes were beautiful and we loved seeing their two very different personalities. If you're a giraffe lover like me, this experience is totally worth the $65. Got to meet, feed, and learn all about the two giraffes, and truly had the best time! I think they do other animal experiences as well, so definitely check those out! It was a serious bucket list item! Thank you to all the staff that made our time so special!

A really cool zoo in the summer it gets really hot while walking around everywhere, thank goodness that there were mist stations they felt really nice to walk through. The zoo museum was really cool you got to feel what the animals felt like. And in all it was really fun.

Train was down for maintenance, on a Saturday during a special event. Many exhibits were closed for repairs. The only comfort was seeing raw materials for repairs so hopefully it's back up to par soon, as it was looking a bit rundown. Staff was all super nice and friendly.

Very nice safari-type zoo, with most animals in an environment close to natural habitat... if a bit small.

You can get pretty close to them as well. Overall something fun to do on a weekend...
