Beautiful and well maintained. Be aware the bathrooms in the main area do not exist, only the bike trail restrooms. Most trails are paved and theres plenty of shade. The boardwalk trail is swampy. Great for pets.

Great visit and wonderful place for a walk on flat ground—maybe 3/4 mile on boardwalks. The breastworks have eroded over time but are still a rarity for Florida. When my wife and I went the Education Center was closed, even though they were supposed to be open. The bathrooms are a good half-mile from the parking area and are not well-signed on how to get there. One electric biker told us we should bring are on toilet paper. My wife opted for going down the road to find a restroom. All in all a nice place to visit.

I love shooting here! As a photographer, I’ve had this location booked the most! It offers perfect variety. Careful with planning any weekend shoot’s especially around the golden hour cause you may have to rock-paper-scissors other photographers for a spot!

I was riding the trail and made sure I stopped here. First, I had to ask 5 different people where Camp Milton was since there are no signs from the trail. Two gave me bad directions. I'm not sure I actually found it. I saw 2 buildings (closed) and a wagon (no description). No signs except ones listing the type of trees. I didn't see any historical signs. So I left and went back to the trail.

WHY have I never ventured here, prior!?! Absolutely serine! Meticulously clean and well kept. The facilities are impeccably clean and well stocked. (*ADA compliant!) Small historical site with original structures, nature paths (dotted with information placards: maps, vegetation, historical facts, etc.). Ample parking with ADA spots and area reserved for tour buses. Site offers tour reservations!
