Bring bug repellent! Safe and dry but not grass not cut in some places, tree fallen across the path making it inaccessible further to wheelchairs and those who can’t climb over (accessible otherwise), and leaf litter covering boardwalk and benches. Heard a few birds in December but no other wildlife. Interesting due to multiple unique habitats and close views of the plants there. Great way to stretch legs on a long car trip!

Nice hidden gem. It is located at the rest area on the highway. The walk ea. Nice and quiet. We didn't see much wildlife in the swamp but I'm sure there's plenty. Saw several birds along the way though.

Excellent place to stretch your legs, got to stop here on the way to Pensacola and we were in for a treat. The nature trail was awesome to see huge spider nest just above your head and a swamp land made just for our Indians who paved the way. Peace and serenity.... the pictures don’t do enough justice. Once you hit the trail, head left and keep going. If you love nature you won’t be disappointed.

This is a peaceful and relaxing hiking trail with 2 friendly serpents to guide us along the boardwalk. You can hear the low tones of the earth and the higher sounds of the air as they meet with the threshold of the swamp as you get away deep from the highway, though I'm Deaf, so the sounds of the cars may have been interfering. Thanks to those 2 friendly serpents for posing nicely for their pictures. 🐍 🐍 📸

The Fanny Bay Trail is amazing! Our first time here was by accident. We just needed a driving break. Took the dogs out and found the trail! It’s beautiful and so much to see! We never forgot it and always stop there since that one accidental stop years ago! Thanks for making it and keeping it up so nicely!

Such a fun place to stop, stretch your legs and get a little exercise. Nice trail and boardwalk through the woods. It was dry when we were there but hopefully next time there will be some water.

Not surprise at the rest stop. The first part is not very exciting. But once you get off the boardwalk it is a very interesting swap.
