I can not recommend Southern Sounds enough! Torrie and Jason have always gone above and beyond to make our school dances at Daphne High School awesome! They are very friendly and easy to work with, and great about tailoring their design ideas to the event budget. We've been working with them for years, and will happily keep doing so!

They are top notch when it comes to setting the mood for the event! From beautiful crystal columns to curtains to up lighting…Torrie and Jason can take a single thought and turn it into one of the most beautiful visions that take your event from simple to just magnificent! Their team was very professional from set up to clean up! We also booked them as our DJ for a homecoming dance and the students LOVED him! I cannot wait to work with them again!

From my first meeting with Torrie, the owner, I was impressed with how professional she was in my interactions with her. Unlike many vendors who charge a premium for anything “wedding,” she made it clear from the start that she would work with with me to devise an effective lighting strategy that would still work with my budget. And she really came through for me when that strategy changed, and we had to move it into a tent because of weather. Despite the last minute changes, she and her team went into gear and transformed our blah tent into an intimate, beautiful space with fairy lights and chandeliers. Her quick turn around was impressive as well as the composure she lent to a stressful situation. We were very happy!!

Southern Sounds is amazing! I received so many compliments during and after our wedding about how amazing the lighting and music was! They are willing to accommodate your requests and get creative, as opposed to others who won't dare try something that's not within their standard services. Southern Sounds provided the DJ and some draping for our Daughter’s wedding reception. DJ Matt Cazalas was great!! Very professional, great music selection, on time, hard working ... I don’t think he had a break for six hours. We had a great time!!!! Torrie with Southern Sounds is very easy to work with and very organized. I highly recommend this company!!!

Where to begin...first we had a wonderful experience planning our daughter’s wedding at the Caribe in Orange Beach through Torrie Smith, Owner/General Manage, Southern Sounds. She has a step by step plan that she promised would take care of everything and she did not let us down. They provided the lights, sound systems, wedding planner, reception planner, and DJ. Kayla the coordinator was the bomb. Calm, efficient, and so organized. Matt Cazalas was the DJ and my personal therapist. He has been in this area DJ’ing and hosting events and had more experience with knowing weather patterns than we did. At one point there was a 100% chance of rain for the reception. He made all the calls in case alternate arrangements had to be made when he saw how stressed I was...my daughter’s vision was an outdoor wedding and reception. Lo and behold it did not rain and the wedding and reception was beautiful (now don’t expect him to stop the rain for your event but he can help make the right call). He made the evening so enjoyable for everyone....aged 5 to 89. You could not ask for a better pre-wedding planner than Torrie, or a better entertainer/DJ than Matt, or wedding/reception coordinator than Kayla for your event. Danced all night long and we received so many compliments from the 160+ guests who attended. Told so many times it was the best party ever! Thank you Southern Sounds!
