Honestly, with the location of this restaurant I'd really like to say it was a pleasant experience but it wasn't. I've been here a few times. The service is not great. Everything takes a lot of time and the servers aren't the most friendly. The food isn't great either. It isn't bad but it isn't good. This place has a decent bar and a second bar upstairs for events and late night music/dancing. The bar and upstairs space is probably the best part of this establishment.

The food was delicious! We got penne with garlic, oil and broccoli and stuffed chicken breast (stuffed with ricotta, mozzarella and spinach) which was a special. It came with soup or salad. We opted for soup (chicken noodle and minestrone. The minestrone had a little spice to it but not overwhelmingly so.
The bread was nice and warm and crunchy. The service was good and waitress was friendly and everything was fairly priced.

It was snowing pretty good so I ordered a large pizza it was 30 dollars and it came a little bit on the cold side but I didn't care about either because the driver walked it halfway up my road because his car wouldn't make it up the hill and that was pretty awesome of that young man

Went here before a show at the Warner Theater after being completely ignored at Crossroads. Four of us sat at the bar. A very dark bar, by the way. Two people working behind the bar must have been trained in ignoring by the Crossroads staff. Not even a 'we'll be right with you' in the ten to fifteen minutes we sat there before walking out. Their loss as we were planning on celebrating three birthdays and dropping quite a bit of cash.

Ordered take out. The penne alla vodka was oily and water and disgusting. They gave me two salads and didn’t give me my dessert. One of the worst take out experiences I have ever had a restaurant and some of the most disgusting food I’ve ever had from a restaurant. Deeply disappointed and won’t ever order from here again or dine in. 10/10 do not recommend

Just walked out of the restaurant without ordering. When we walked in, the waitress just stared at us. Didn't bother to say a word. No " you can sit anywhere, no welcome, nothing. Then we sat there for 10 minutes and nobody bothered to even come over and take our order or anything. I can almost understand if they were busy, but there were only 3 tables with people sitting and already eating. Kind of makes you wonder how they're staying in business. You would think they would want to better their reputation after their past transgressions shall we say.

The italian combo i ordered was served cold, the bread was supposed to be toasted and it was not

Also, the second dish we got being fettuccine alfredo with chicken also arrived cold.

All of this after waiting almost 2 hours for food that we were told would be ready and delivered in 45 minutes. This place used to be alright although pricey. This was just an expensive waste of time.

When we called about these issues we were offered nothing in terms of compensation or resolution. Never again.@

Would be zero stars if possible. Unorganized, bad attitudes, and a waste of time. We called a week ago to reserve the upstairs dining for a group of about 20 people. My fiancée and I have a lot of family in town and we loved this place when Bachi owned it. We raved to all of them about how great it was. We didn’t realize the new owners have ruined it. We confirmed the date and information with the woman on the phone when we made the reservation a week ago. Today when we walked in we weren’t greeted, we went upstairs to an empty space clearly not set up, went and told the bartender to which his response was “well, she didn’t mention a party was coming in and it’s just me and one server so…” and that was about all we got. Another large party came in right after us with a “reservation” that also was never communicated. They were smart enough to call ahead with their food order though. We waited 15 min for a table to be set up. Sat around for another half hour with ZERO service. A few people ordered drinks that took forever. When we finally checked again, we were told the owner and a server were on their way. They never showed while we were there. We ended up calling the restaurant next door and they happily had a room set up for us in 10 minutes. So after 45 minutes we left Giovanni’s without any words at all from the staff, no apology or even a glance in our direction. This place used to be great, don’t waste your time now.
