We arrived at the hotel on June 8, 2024, looking forward to our fishing trip. However, our experience quickly turned sour due to the poor conditions of the hotel. The front desk attendant, who was inattentive and rude, checked us in. As soon as we entered our room, we were hit with a strong, musty odor of mold.

After a long journey, I decided to take a shower while my 3-year-old nephew played with the ice bucket. To my horror, I noticed that the bucket was not empty and contained used napkins with fresh blood and used syringes. This was a shocking and disturbing discovery. When I brought this to the attention of the front desk staff, their response was dismissive and apathetic.

Insisting on a new room, we were moved to another one, hoping for better conditions. However, the next room was even worse than the first. The windows were covered in mold, indicating a serious lack of proper maintenance and cleanliness. It was clear that the hotel was not up to standard, and I believe it is imperative for the health department to inspect the premises to ensure the safety of its guests. The overall experience was extremely disappointing and concerning.

This is a solid clean no frills place to stay. Easy on off access from the interstate and check in and check out were easy. Simple breakfast items for convenience. You will need coins for the vending machines. Staff is friendly and helpful. Cleaning service was very good and despite the sign saying they only provide the service upon request if you do not post the “do not disturb” on your door your room will get cleaned. Not a concern for me but be aware.

My wife and I stayed at Sleep Inn Tyler for 2 weeks from October 15th to the 29th of 2024, and we will NOT hesitate to stay with them again!
The staff were kind and professional and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Not to mention, the building grounds, inside and out, were kept up very well.
I would especially like to give a shout out to Paola, from the kitchen, who put on a fabulous breakfast each morning. Then there was Luz Garcia, the head housekeeper, who along with her staff, did a great job with the room and made sure we were well taken care of and that everything was in tip top shape. Next, there was Kelly Tamlin, the sales manager, who was ready to help in any way, and answer any questions. And finally, Christina at the front desk, who was always pleasant and there for us, which made our stay that much better. Also, she was so helpful and patient with us as we kept moving the dates for our stay due to our daughter having the baby "any day now" 🙂
So to everyone, a job very well done...and thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
P.S.- we have already booked another stay with them for this February.

The hotel was easy to find and had plenty of parking. The property and surrounding area were clean and well maintained. Checking in was fast and easy. My room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. It had a small refrigerator that worked well. The air conditioning was powerful, which was great because it was really hot outside. The TV was kind of annoying. It seemed like it worked on wifi and froze/reloaded a couple of times. The bathroom had a good-sized stall shower with strong water pressure. This place was well worth what they charged for the room.

Front desk was very personable, he recommended a great restaurant for dinner. Room was clean and place was fairly quite (some other loud guests, but what can you do?). Place could use some updating but for the great price, it was awesome. Breakfast was bare bones, but was included, so ? overall, I'd recommend this place if you want a no frills, clean place to sleep.

Nice stay. Clean. Location was next to the highway and busy traffic. Room was spotless. Gentleman who checked us in was so nice. The handle fell apart on our sink and he wanted to fix it right away. It wasn't a problem. He was so considerate. Beds were so comfortable, as were the pillows. Breakfast was adequate. Area was maintained and clean. Would stay again.

Needed a few days to get away. Picked this last minute with the family. Location was great lots to do and see. Hotel clean, staff friendly, rooms comfortable, pool clean and breakfast was satisfactory. They had a washer & dryer available at a low cost which made it great to clean our clothes from being at the beach or pool. Worth the price paid. Looking forward to coming back.

Very nice staff and clean rooms. I was very disappointed with the breakfast. No scrambled eggs, just english muffin and muffins. The waffle maker didn't even work. I also noticed no butter at all. Usually when I visit a sleep inn & suites they have a great breakfast selection.
