What an amazing experience! I’ve known Karma for awhile and finally decided to go on the Good Karma Trek and it was absolutely amazing. From the second we got out of the airport, we felt welcomed and right at home with the SMA staff. The sherpas, cooks, and everyone else associated with the company were absolutely amazing. I will never forget the wonderful connections I made with all of them. Also, SMA seems to attract a certain type of trekker - fun and open minded and easy to get along with. By the end we all felt like family which made the overall experience way more comfortable and fun. The sherpas set a great pace for each day of trekking and made sure everyone was feeling their best and had what they needed to continue. The views were beyond breathtaking, I never imagined I’d see so many incredible mountains in my lifetime. This is definitely a once in a lifetime experience and highly recommended! I made some lifetime memories and friendships!

We went on a trek organized by SMA for our honeymoon, and cannot recommend them highly enough! I had originally wanted to plan the trip myself, but after talking with Karma we decided to go on a guided trek and I am so glad that we did! Our experience was culturally authentic in a way that we never could have experienced had we planned it alone. Our local guides (both named Ngima) were informative, polite, and always happy to help! We were very well fed with fantastic food and and felt very safe and supported by our entire guide, kitchen, and porter team. Their presence helped us feel welcomed by the extraordinarily friendly Sherpa people of the Solu-Khumbu region. As a bonus, we were able to see a glimpse of of the great work that Karma's foundation is doing in Nepal, from rebuilding houses after the 2015 earthquake, to installing trash bins on the trails in their home region, to bringing medical aid and supplies to the mountain villages of the area. If you are looking for an authentic experience where you can get a great blend of culture and natural beauty, go with SMA! Plus, you get to support a Sherpa-owned company that is working to do some real good in the world.

I loved every second of my experience to Everest Base Camp with Sherpa Mountain Adventures (SMA)!!! From start to finish everything was well organized. As a female traveling solo for the first time, I was a bit nervous but from the second I landed in Nepal I felt very well taken care of. The guides, asst. guides, cooks, and everyone else involved were absolutely amazing and really made my experience incredible. They are knowledgeable, kind, well trained, and fun!!!! I learned so much while trekking from the amazing guides/sherpa's. The food was great too! We were so well fed! I was prepared with tons of my own snacks but they feed you so often you hardly need anything else. SMA goes to great lengths to make sure each person in the group is happy and SMA also has plenty of staff to take care of anyone that got hurt, sick, etc. My experience was very positive and culturally inspiring. SMA really helps ensure that you have a cultural experience which is something that I was looking for before I signed up for the trip. I had done research earlier in the year on trekking in Nepal but got overwhelmed by all the different companies and didn't know which company to go with but then I heard about SMA and they came HIGHLY recommended. I immediately jumped on the opportunity after speaking with Karma. I just knew he was a good man and that this company was legit. The other trekkers in the group were amazing as well! Anyone looking for an opportunity that will blow your mind this is the trip to take!! It was so enjoyable having everything planned and not having to worry about one single detail was amazing. I just loved the whole vibe and theme of "the good Karma trek". I would recommend SMA over and over again. In fact I want to do it again the Himalayas will literally take your breath away! It is absolutely stunning to see 20,000+ ft. peaks EVERYWHERE! Everyone must go and see for themselves!

Doing the Sherpa Mountain Adventures (SMA) trek to Everest Base Camp (EBC) was one of the best experiences of my life. Nepal and the Himalayas are absolutely beautiful and the trek to EBC is challenging but well worth the challenge. SMA does a fantastic job of creating a trust worthy team that is with you every step of the way...they are very knowledgeable about the area and have great experience in leading teams. The scenery you will see is amazing and understanding more about Nepal and the Sherpa's is fascinating...they have such a strong work ethic and it shows in everything that they do. I learned so much on this trip and so glad I went with Sherpa Mountain Adventures. I can't wait to do more trekking in this area with SMA.

My daughter and I just returned from a trekking adventure in the Himalayas with Sherpa Mountain Adventures. I reviewed many of the trekking companies and spoke with references, and I felt most comfortable with this team. This crew is exeptional with regard to meeting your needs and keeping you safe. Although challenging and difficult at times as expected, it was an amazing experience. Above all, we truly felt like part of their trekking family. We left with the feeling that the cooks, the sherpas, and the guides were there to help us, but they became our friend as well. Happy travels!!
