Utterly magical and enchanting oak savanna grasslands and rolling hills. Awesome sunsets, lots of great trails that wild through gently undulating hills. This land is also very historic and was occupied by the Niesenan tribe and other tribes. Bordered on the north by Deer Creek, there are several other creeks that flow through the area. Gold miners, early pioneer settlers, the Donners, Sutter, cattle ranchers and cowboys all have left their mark and you can feel them today. Check it out!

Me and my family had the best time of are lives. Sadly we never made it to are destination, but the way there was an adventure ? when we first hit the bridge, that looks like a walkway, there was a random dog that was guarding the house next to it. The dog was well trained in guarding the house but was stupid, the dog would not let us get across the bridge it was keep getting right in front of the car, we almost hit the dog like 10 times before getting across the bridge. When we got across the bridge there was a cow breastfeeding her little ones. I brought my dogs with me, and there was no problems. If you come in the winter it will be really muddy. It was muddy for us. We had to go up a big hill which was super fun.

Had a fabulous birding hike tour from the wonderful docents from the Sacramento Valley Conservancy. It was amazing but you need to be in pretty good shape, have good hiking walking shoes and socks you don't mind getting rid of! Beautiful birds and so quiet!

Fantastic place for a self guided hike, or a docent-led yoga hike in nature! Run through the Sacramento Valley Conservancy, they also have awesome events like Mountain Bike Mondays that happen through the summer months. Awesome spot, you can make the hike as easy or as hard as you want.

This park is a great example of what can happen when people truly care about nature. You have to sign up on their website in advance to hike. The preserve is only open on Saturdays by their appointments. It is well worth planning for. So peaceful and lovely.
