Fantastic morning kayaking with a rental from this Adventures by the Sea location. Stellar customer service by all three folks I met, especially Joseph. He even pushed me off the beach for a dry start! Great morning on the water with the sea otters. This location is so convenient to kayak towards the aquarium or over to the marina cove. You can even hang out right in the kelp beds and just watch the sea life if you like. Kayak was in excellent near new condition. Seat could use a bit more bum cushion, might be good to bring a seat cushion if you plan to be out more than a couple hours. Very easy to reserve the kayak online, and rental time is all day if you desire. I had a great day and highly recommend this location for its customer service

Great service and friendly staff. We did Kayak rentals and it’s great because they set you all up in the shop and you walk across the street to the beach where they help get into the water and on your way. We saw all the kelp forest animals including several young otters playing together.

Definitely coming back!!

Great experience! I’ve previously been to Elkhorn Slough on a kayak trip and this was far better! We saw seals leaping in and out of the water, a mama otter, pelicans, harbor seals and sea lions. The water was very clear and we got a nice view of the kelp beds. Anne was our guide and was very knowledgeable and gave us time to snap some pictures. Would definitely come here again to see wildlife!

Got a bit lost getting back to the rental building, but one of their other locations contacted them and said they would drop off the kayak and paddles for us! Service was very nice

Super friendly staff! Visited Monterey with my husband for our anniversary. He’s never been kayaking before so we thought this was the perfect chance. We called to see if we could just walk in since we didn’t have a reservation. Since it was a weekday they were slower and we had no issues. It was a beautiful day and we got to see so much wildlife! Sea otters, sea lions, jellyfish, and all the birds! Two hours for $35 (x2 since we rented two separate kayaks) was absolutely worth it.

Very friendly (albeit new) staff. The kayaks are good quality but have some cheap seat backings. If you are a bigger guy (like me) or have any back issues, even mild ones, you may want to consider bringing your own seat. But it was a great experience and lovely area to paddle from! I would pay a little more for an upgraded seat that had more back support!

Took the Lovers Point private Kayak tour. Our guide Brad made the experience great. Saw Otter, Pelicans, etc., from the Kelp bed. The water was crystal clear and we were able to look down and see the Ocean floor. Very professional.
