Brownstone, where do I begin?

Thank you for giving us the wedding of our absolute dreams, and a night that we will remember for the rest of our lives.

My wife and I chose Brownstone to host our wedding early in 2020 after visiting the grounds and speaking with Barbara, Brownstone's manager. Even though it was quite out of the way, the venue itself was beautiful, and Barbara gave us confidence that she could take care of business.

Then the pandemic hit--and our wedding was delayed for a year. But we stuck with Brownstone, and boy, are we glad we did.

Prior to our wedding night, we had never seen Brownstone at night (only in photos)... but actually seeing it at night, it was absolutely magical, and more beautiful than we could have imagined.

The night went flawlessly--from the ceremony in the courtyard, to the sunset shots, to dinner under the lights, to desserts and dancing at Bridal Falls. We had guests with kids, so we ordered the Kids Package, which included a bouncy castle, face painting, and pizza for the little ones, and they loved it. Barbara made sure everything was taken care of, and it absolutely was.

Thank you Brownstone, and Barbara, for a magical night that we will remember forever.

American Vintage Rentals

As a wedding vendor, we at American Vintage Rentals have provided vintage rentals and farm tables, for couples getting married here. Being located in Oakley, Brownstone Gardens is somewhat "off-the-beaten-path, so it might be considered a "destination wedding" venue? We found it to be a lovely garden venue, complete with waterfall and a multi-level, terraced patio, and trees filled with lights and lanterns. It offers a cool respite of shade with the water features on a hot, summer day, and the night spent under the lights seems like pure magic! Barbara was a delight to coordinate with, in creating the bride's vision for a guest sign-in area and picture-perfect farm tables for the guests!

Beautiful place for a event.
The chairs were beautiful. Not normally simple plastic chairs. These were beautiful. The set up was amazing. Clean bathrooms. Wish they had a changing table for us moms with babies. Maybe they could invest in one from target or Walmart. The bartender and the lady walking around to clean up the tables during the party were very professionals and extremely nice. They made the party more classy and elegant.

Down fall: The lady that was taking down the chairs was rude. Huffing and puffing. Party ended at 3pm and right on the dot she was there ripping off the paddings of the chairs aggressively. I don’t know why she was upset or why she was acting the way she was. I would have gave it all five if she wasn’t rude or making so many loud sounds. It was so noticeable. I thought at one point the chair was going to be break the way she was handling them.

The staff was unorganized and late for our event but once things got caught up they were helpful and friendly.

Attended my niece's wedding. It's a beautiful venue, especially when the sun goes down. The one downfall for my husband and I was the uneven ground. The parking lot is large gravel. Wearing heels, it was difficult to walk on, plus my heels were a bit damaged. Then the ceremony is on grass. My heels aereated the lawn as they sank into the earth. Again, difficult to walk on. The rest of the venue was stamped concrete, a bit uneven. So, I suggest if you go, choose your footwear wisely. Other than that, great place!

Attended a family wedding here. Everything was very smooth. Everything was handled well. The staff was friendly. Overall it was very enjoyable.

There was a woman, maybe the owner, dressed in a sweater. She was very bossy and kind of rude and stuck out like a sore thumb at the formal event. Why not at least wear the same kind of uniform as the staff? She was yelling at kids not to touch sand from right behind the DJ's booth during the bride and groom's dance. I hope her shrieking didn't show up in the video.

I attended the Sweet Sixteen party of a very close friend the family's daughter. It was a lovely venue and the staff that worked the venue were very nice and very efficient. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five was due to the distance I had to walk from the parking lot to where the tables were. I have bone on bone arthritis in both knees as well as sciatica on both sides of my back. This makes walking even short distances very difficult. Also the walkway was paved with large cobblestone like papers and this made walking with my canes difficult. And the bathrooms are on the otherwise of the seating area. Otherwise it's a beautiful place to have an event.
