What an awesome experience! I've never been to an alpaca & llama ranch before but this certainly was great. Nancy, the owner, was sweet and kind showing us around. You can tell she cares for the animals and passionate about her ranch. She gave us pellets to feed the the alpacas and they will basically run towards you when you shake the container. It was $25 for the small group of 4 and I believe it was totally worth it.

For those who are thinking about going as a family with young kids, the ranch is on a slope and you will have to sign a waiver before the tour begins (she will email you the copy so you can review it before arrival). The alpacas and llamas are not super friendly and all over you like a puppy. They will not come near you if you don't have food and you will need to sneak in a touch on their back as you feed them while they’re distracted. No one in our group were bitten or kicked, but they do kick and spit if not careful (please listen to the owner's instructions). So, if a petting zoo is what you want, this may not meet your expectations. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the experience and would definitely go again 🙂

My friends and I went back to One Thing Ranch for another alpaca/llama lovin' and had a blast! The dark brown llama, Mocha, comes and kisses you when you pucker your lips. The lighter beige alpaca, Echo, is the PR of the ranch as she will come straight to the guests and let you pet her. Nancy is amazing and cares so much for her fur-babies. Highly recommend!

Nancy and her husband dedicate their lives caring for many llamas. The time, love and expense that they put forth is evident. Any type of volunteer assistance, donations, fed, sheers, etc., I'm sure will be greatly appreciated.
