Hi Kern River’s Edge Crew,

Just want to extend my gratitude for keeping up such a great campground. I booked a double site and Sandy Beach for my brother's 10 person bachelor's rafting/camping weekend. After a long morning on the water, we were all pleasantly impressed with the clean, comfortable, and organized campground we called home. The weather was perfect and the river was right over the berm every time we wanted to take a cool quick dip. The staff was super friendly and helpful. They routinely checked on us to make sure were comfortable. I would highly recommend this campground to anyone. In fact, I'm already looking at my calendar to see when I can come back with my wife and kids. This place is great for families…including pets. See you soon, Kern River's Edge!

Overall the site itself is nice. Unfortunately, it’s difficult to enjoy because the amount of people on the campground and the amount of noise and music was too much.

This is not a camping experience. You do not have your own complete space, you are side by side with people’s loud music, dogs and kinds.

Quite hours are at 10pm - it would be useful to have the camp host drive around to make sure everyone is obeying the rules that they made us sign 10 times before arriving.

There are many sites in the area - I would suggest visiting other locations for better prices.

Visited for a group campout. Staff was kind and accommodating. Campground was well kept and clean, especially the bathrooms. A selection of campsites have power and water, but most of the campground is dry. The corner sites had the most room, not all of the sites would support a travel trailer. Less than 10 minutes from Kernville, this was an epic and serene location with river access. Coin operated hot showers available, a nice camp store and friendly people. I look forward to returning in the summer. No RV dump facilities on site. The recommended spot is called "Camp 9" campground and is a primitive, Forest Service campground located at 8547 Sierra Way, Kernville CA 93238.

My friends and I just finished camping here and we had an amazing time. Site 25 had plenty of room for our truck, bus, 2 2-person tents, and even a 6-person tent. Plenty of room and we did not feel cramped next to each other. Also there were 2 beautiful trees providing some shade, where we would often be visited by resident birds. The location is very close to the river and we found a great spot a little past the campgrounds where the current wasn't too strong. The water was so refreshing and gleaming with life all around. Our camp host Kealy and the grounds keeper Tristin were extremely friendly and wonderful to talk to. It was awesome how they were able to deliver firewood or ice straight to our campsite campsite. The staff also cleared out our site's recyclables every morning. Overall, great personalities, great location, and great price. I would stay again!

We had a blast as we reserved bolder beach and sandy beach for our big family gathering. We had a great turn out, 32 out 36 showed up. The campground was good, and the service was great. This was my first time here but our family's second time around. I rented a trailer for some of our elder ladies that wanted to come but were not sure on the tent deal. Kern provided some referrals from trailer companies they have worked with in the past and we picked a great one "Camping on the Kern Vacation Trailers". Overall, it was great, will try to make this a yearly family reunion.

My first experience staying at a campground with such excellent customer service. From before to during the stay the camp host was on top of every detail.
The only thing I didn't like is the very small beach access. We had to hike upstream to find a better spot.

DO NOT GO in July . This place seems like it would be awesome the other 3 seasons but the river was too low to raft or swim or stand in the beach that they said they had was about 50 ft long all rocks and trash, I definitely called before we went and asked the questions that I thought were important like can we raft down the river and is there a beach where we could actually swim there were neither of those options and it was just really hot but campsites were decent place was clean. Keely was helpful.

Nice looking, well run campground on the Kern River north of Lake Isabella. Lots of campgrounds in the area but nothing, except this one, with capacity for any rig over 30'. Nice shade and good Verizon connectivity. No OTA TV signals. Roads and campsites are dirt with lots of ruts and bumps. We had water and electric hookups but oddly, the hookups are on the passenger passenger side of the RV. Each site is large with difficult access from poorly placed boulders that mark the campsite boundary. Overall, the price seems quite high for the value received. We probably won't stay here again when in the area. We camped at Kern River's Edge Campground Retreat in a Motorhome
