Nice little train ride through the woods in Shelby county. Very friendly staff! 10/10. Also decent sized museum. With lots of cool facts and history. Definitely recommend if you have little ones. Very cool will be back.

There are a few old trains to check out on the property. We went on the seventy five minute train ride. Fun for the kids. However, as an adult, you may be bored. We did stop and pick up people at a winery. You might consider it as an option to go for a quick train ride. The tickets are very reasonable for a family of four.

Not sure what I can say here but I definitely didn't try out the real experience at this muesum, but looking at the trains around gives a nostalgic feeling almost like you wanna go on one of those trains like a hobo in the 1930s during The Great Depression.

Amenities: Plenty to look around, there is a gift shop you can check out, some really old trains that who knows how long they've truly been there and get tickets Saturday because I think they're only open on those days, not sure if I'm correct but kids love it!

Miscellaneous: I often find myself walking around on the train tracks when I'm bored, it's quite the muesum for sure, so whenever you get the chance to visit/be in Calera, AL, don't miss this opportunity!

We had a really great time at the pumpkin junction train ride. It was so nice when we arrived at the play area...just nice old fashioned play time for the kids and it was just the right amount of time. The open air car provided a nice cooling breeze during the ride. I loved the gift shop as well

The staff is really nice, and the train is very well maintained, but there is nothing really interesting about taking this short train road. They should include a stop or something more exciting during the trip. I may try the other ticket options they offer at another time.

One of the better Railroad museums in the south! Excellent diverse collection that requires no admission to view! The tourist train they run is always a treat too. My only huge gripe is the lack of polish with the volunteer crews. In our visit we witnessed a crew cause an accident in the display yard where guests were walking between cars and displays. It could've been a much worse accident, but it wasn't which is why I only deducted one star.

I was very pleasantly surprised at how amazing this place was today! SO much fun and such a well thought out venue for the kids and the whole family. I haven’t been here before, even though it’s 40 minutes from my house, but we’ll be back! We did the big train and the little train as well as saw Santa and visited the gift shop.
