Not overly impressed with staff. Room was very clean but I asked desk clerk for late checkout and not only did he tell me he'd inform house keeping, which he didn't, he wasn't able to authorize my late departure, caused a bit of a stir when I was in past my time.

Room was very nice, clean and updated. Decent water pressure, but not great. TV was great.

Breakfast was a bit sorry, not even HIE standard spread.

Location and grounds were fantastic. Would stay here again 100%

This was my first in this area. The hotel itself has an interesting setup as the lobby is separate from the room buildings. There is a lot of parking space which is kind of hidden in the middle of room buildings. Staff was very helpful and friendly - no complaints at all! They really need to upgrade the breakfast area, it was super tiny and got crowded with long queue. Juice dispenser was out of order which is not great for grab n go breakfast. Other items were available and the staff was filling in pretty quickly. Location is also good as it is right at next to the freeway.

Employees were nice and helpful but the floors in the rooms were so dirty. Had to wear shoes during my stay to keep my feet clean. Carpets had spots everywhere and tile was grimy. The balcony had cigarette butts on it too. Apparently not all Holiday Inn Express locations are the same...or maybe this is the new low staffing trend of some hotels?

Room was okay. Entire building reeked of bleach and it gave me a headache, made my eyes burn and messed with my asthma. Had to open the patio door and turn the ac on high which only helped a little. Floor was dirty and gritty. The guy that checked me in was nice enough but didn't give any information as to how to get to the pool and there are no bathrooms next to it- really inconvenient- or what time breakfast is served. Only two full sized towels in a two bed room. No TV channel list anywhere to be found.
Breakfast was great. 10 minutes to Pismo beach. Walmart is a couple minutes away as is a gas station and liquor store. I was also not told about a 100 extra charge. It came up on my credit card account as pending. Power went out for several hours on 7/16. Was unable to see to shower and unable to watch TV or use the air conditioner. Need a partial refund

We wanted a beach trip and all the oceanfront hotels were either booked or priced way too expensive. Great choice! Very good stay at a reasonable price. Renovation, clean rooms with comfortable beds and excellent AC. Great choice for a last minute booking and not breaking the budget.

Positive: The beds sere comfy and the room was easy to access from the parking lot. Negative: The breakfast was not very delicious. The eggs were always dry.

We had a very good experience here. The rooms were very clean, and it looks like they had done an update in the last few years. Employees were great. Breakfast was very good.

The room we had smelled of animals, as if someone with dogs/cats stayed there. The housekeepers sprayed it down and it went away for the time we were there. Other than that, the rooms were nice. It could be cleaner.
