Where to even begin! Janet made the whole wedding planning process SO incredibly easy. She helped me brainstorm solutions to problems, recommended THE BEST vendors, and kept everything organized and on track.

There was literally not one thing that went wrong on my wedding day (and if there was Janet handled it before I ever knew!). Her support, especially on the weekend of the wedding, was invaluable. So many friends and family commented on how on top of everything she was while also being kind and personable. I honestly do not think I could have asked for a better person to support and guide me through this process! I would absolutely recommend Janet to anyone getting married in the SLO area!

Janet and her team are beyond exceptional! Super nice and professional, Janet knows weddings, everything about them start to finish. We didn't know where to start, we had a venue and a vision, we live out of the area, we needed help! Janet gave us recommendations of vendors, they worked together seamlessly. I didn't even know you could rent pretty chairs to replace the banquet chairs, what a difference that made. We couldn't fit our guests in the room we wanted, Janet suggested we use our cocktail room for the dance floor, dj, etc. Our contact never let us know that was an option. This suggestion was epic! The reception was so amazing, the cocktail room was like a club, so great, there was a filled dance floor all night while in the reception room, others could sit and chat. Janet pointed us in the right direction in so many ways before and during the wedding. Can I just say it was the most beautiful vision of what we had wanted, it was absolutely perfect, our guests are still raving and most importantly, my daughter said it was the wedding of her dreams. Buckle up, buttercups: in order to showcase how incredible Janet was as my wedding planner, I have to give some backstory. We got engaged in July of '21 and started looking at venues that fall. We met Janet at The Casitas Estate for a tour of that venue, and while the location didn't work for us, their planner did! A month or so later, with Janet's help, we booked our favorite local venue for 11.11.23 and I began the fun part of designing our wedding. However...6 months later in March I get an email from our venue coordinator stating our contract was being cancelled, our deposits refunded and the venue shut their doors for 2023. Panic ensued. I called Janet and she immediately sprang into action calling on her wedding planner fellows for new venue suggestions, researching a larger radius outside of SLO county and setting up conference calls. Long story short, we found a replacement venue, I revamped my original design and by May we had our venue. For reals. And it was honestly a blessing in disguise.

Because we had such a long engagement, Janet and I spent a lot of time together, sometimes just chatting and cackling, but mostly working on the logistics of a 200 person wedding weekend. She was instrumental in securing contracts for things like rentals, florals and signage, and kept me sane while I booked the smaller vendors. She was my biggest hype man when sharing my neon, colorful vision and found me vendors and creators who were perfect fits. As a graphic designer and all around color nerd, I did the heavy lifting on my overall design, but I know if I had needed Janet to execute the whole kit and kaboodle, she would have with flying colors - literally. Oh and we were one hour late to our rehearsal due to a literal fire on the Grade and Janet kept everyone entertained and went through the fasted couple walkthroughs ever. A+

When it came to THE BIG DAY if anything went wrong, I had no idea. It sounds cliche but it was a perfect day. Everyone arrived on time, the setup was beautiful and just like I'd imagined, our family and friends were relaxed and happy and the only tears were happy ones. Every vendor Janet recommended delivered, she checked in throughout the day, and because of her, both my husband and I were so much calmer and happier than we thought we'd be - we experienced honestly ZERO stress (minus some blisters from my shoes but Janet had bandaids in her fanny pack of course).

We received SO many compliments throughout the day about how amazing Janet was (she was easily recognizable with an orange suit and trademark wide brimmed hat), how beautiful and impressive everything was, and some even went so far as to say it was the best wedding they'd ever been to. And I agreed. It was hands down the best wedding I've ever attended in my 32 years (except for maybe my cousin's but he had gokarts and bumper boats and as a 12 year old it was the coolest thing imaginable) I feel so grateful for Janet ensuring we had the wedding we wanted, while always thinking of the little details and ensuring our vision never encroached on our guests' comfort. I could keep complimenting her and her team but this is long enough. Just hire her, you won't regret it.

Janet. That's who you need, and all you need to ensure your big day is the absolute best day of your life. Janet and her team literally brought our dreams to life. Her energy, her heart and her love is so strong and I cannot imagine my wedding being as perfect as it was if it weren't for her. All my guests still rave about my wedding to this day and it's been 4 months! Even my bridal party think she's the absolute BEST, because she truly, truly is. She is so supportive and will do anything to make sure your day is over the moon amazing. Favorite moment with Janet was when after the ceremony we go to the reception location and my feet were killing me! She immediately got me a chair and my cocktail was in her hand and made me drink it haha! She just kept feeding the cocktail up to my mouth! She is the most hilarious, genuine and down to earth individual, ever. Just meeting her is truly a blessing.

Words cannot describe how INCREDIBLY GRATEFUL I am for Janet and her team in making our dream wedding come to life. We got married at Cass Winery in Sept 2024 with 170 guests. We started working with Janet a year and a half out from our wedding date, and from the very start, Janet was fully attentive to us. She kept us so organized that we had every vendor booked a year in advance of our wedding date. And her wedding vendor recommendations were AMAZING, and really helped us identify those who fit our vibe, style, and budget.
Planning a wedding can be one of the most stressful processes, but Janet made it completely stress-free. I fully trusted every decision that Janet helped us make and we wouldn’t have been able to do our wedding without her.
I knew that when it finally came to the actual wedding day, I would have nothing to worry about because Janet had everything handled from coordinating with vendors, ceremony procession, food service, photography timeline, seating, helping us get water breaks, you name it.
I was honestly sad after the wedding when I realized we wouldn’t get to chat with Janet anymore since I felt like she had been so engrained in our lives for so long. And it wasn’t only my husband and I that noticed all of her amazingness on our big day - multiple friends and family came up to us at our wedding complimenting how great her and her team were.
I can go on and on about my huge gratefulness for this team, but I can not emphasize enough that you need Sandcastle Celebrations as a core part of your wedding day and planning experience. We love you Janet!

Janet and team did an exceptional job on wedding day! She flawlessly lead and kept well organized a large 22 person wedding party, seamlessly worked with and orchestrated 11 other vendors, and was a pleasure to work with throughout the planning process, always having expert advice and experience to share. We would recommend her with flying colors to anyone! It’s rare to find someone who is not only incredibly experienced but also positive, energetic, and a pure joy to be around.
