We stayed at the Meritas Crystal Resort recently with my family for a night.

The location of the property is very good being very near to the main market and one can have a lot of options for conveyance.

The rooms are decent but the maintenance and upkeep is much disappointing. One of the two rooms we were allotted had a vigorous smell of pesticides which caused me severe headache (not sure about other health hazards). The curtains were old and had dusty smell. The towels provided had a peculiar smell and basic toiletries like razor/shaving cream, comb etc. were missing. Though TV is not a priority while one is on a outing but it may be mentioned that the TV remote was not working and the TV had to be operated from the TV set itself. Moreover, the property seems to reserve the best rooms for a particular group and if one books other than this they are allotted rooms which are facing outside the property and had a smelly drain adjacent to it. Similar is the experience with the swimming pool.

However, the property had a few positives as well which includes a very good location, some picturesque spots within the property for photography, a sit-out area in the middle of the property where you can sit together, chit-chat with friends and relax and a very good design which promotes photography. The room service was excellent and prompt and the staff very helpful and courteous. The restaurant had a lot of options for food with Indian/Continental breakfast which one can enjoy.

Overall, I would rate the property 6/10 as the experience was not commensurate to the price charged.

We enjoyed our stay. The staff were amazing and very helpful. Our room was clean, the food was enjoyable, and the general area was nice. The only small issue was that pool was a little funky and it didn’t seem like it was chlorinated enough or filled all the way. We would stay here again.

Located just off the main road, this resort is easy to access alright, but the approach and exterior can be dusty. Our room was in the Windsor building, and it was at the end of the corridor. The room was musty smelling, the bathroom flush in the other room didn't work, the hair dryers didn't work, the balcony chairs were damaged, and the pool area is near a huge drainge system which smells terrible. The food was decent, however, the staff could be more pleasant. The restaurant manager was forever grumpy, kept scowling and was pretty curt with his responses. He went out of his way to remind us that breakfast wasn't free or included, when we were ready to pay. Overall, they stay could have been better for the price paid, the rooms certainly needed way more upkeep. Also - find your transportation beforehand, it can be difficult in this area. We waited a long time to get autos and cabs.

Disappointing Experience - Not Worth the Price

I stayed at this 4-star resort with friends last weekend, but it was far from the relaxing experience we expected. The service was frustratingly slow and unresponsive. We had to call reception multiple times just to get basic requests fulfilled, yet they were still delayed. The checkout process was also a hassle, with calls going back and forth.

The facilities were equally disappointing. The pool had such a high dose of chlorine that it was uncomfortable to swim in. Our room’s socket didn’t work, and the WiFi was extremely slow, making it difficult to stay connected. TV channels were limited, and the AC remote only worked after repeated attempts. Cleanliness was clearly not a priority; we found leftover biscuits on the sofa and a stained, rusty blanket that didn’t seem freshly laundered. Bathroom essentials weren’t provided in line with the room’s occupancy, which added to the inconvenience.

For the amount we were charged, the experience was simply not worth it. You can easily find better, cleaner, and more affordable options elsewhere. Would not recommend!

Rooms - Rooms were having seepage issue...and bad smell...one good thing is few rooms have loft for kids which have bed. Room lighting was not fresh as well.

Service - service is good

Play area - Small play area... trampoline broken...not maintained...dust everywhere.

Open space - there is small open space where kids can play.

Location - location is very bad..it is on the bank of 'Nala'...bad smell and lots of mosquitos.

Game room - you can find snooker, table tennis, chess, Ludo- snake ladder, carrom etc ..

Food - food is not of a great quality and taste.

Firstly this property is not a pay at property which was a hassle.Booking.com needs to take cognizance of this as the hotel is not bothered. The property is connected to a very large sewer which makes the property stink throughout. The sewer is next to the pool which is makes you feel that you are swimming in the sewer water only. Breakfast was very normal and half the items seems stale and not at all appealing. Also they will make you sign on a paper which has a point that parking at the hotel will be at owners risk. Which means while selling they show they have parking and when you reach it's a valet. So you give your car keys and they will have no responsibility of the car. The ac goes off everytime the light goes and switch happens to generators. TV is normal one you cannot login your OTT , this was bummer for us as we wanted to relax. We didn't ask this expecting a 4* property to have this.
The entire property, attitude of staff , smell of sewer. Adding to this the game zone entry is a washroom door where water is dripping and smells awful. It was a waste of money of 14000 for 2 nights.

We booked a suite room with jacuzzi, which was 2k more than regular room as my kid wanted to try jacuzzi.

Room was average, very old fitting and fixtures, not fresh..
The worst part is we couldn't use jacuzzi as it was in a very bad condition.. Chipped, broken, and mainly dirty..
As we turned it on all dirt came in.. Very un hygienic..

Avoid this place.. Book basic room...

One of the best resorts in the market area. The service & hospitality was nothing less than a 5 star luxury hotel. The staff Sharada, Alok, Archana , Yuvaraj,Vinod, Saheeb, Sagar, Sunil all are so professional and good at their job. I am not sure if I ever remembered so many staff names at any other resorts. The rooms were clean and spacious. The food was tasty and the buffet spread was good.
