It was an absolute pleasure of a day having Andrew provide his dive guiding services for me on my very first cave dives into the Madison Blue cave system in northern Florida. Although I’ve been Cave certified since 2016, I had never been to that cave system before and I wanted to go with someone who is an extremely knowledgeable cave diver, and someone who I trusted, Andrew checked off both of those boxes! He monitored dive conditions days before our planned dives and researched alternative options if Madison Blue proved to be not good for diving - he was extremely communicative with me before, during, and after the dives! My son and I did two days of guided dives with Andrew in the springs and caverns in North Central Florida. It was a fantastic experience. It was our first time diving in the area and it was really great to benefit from Andrew's expertise and local knowledge. We dove four different sites that were each very distinct and offered unique and exciting experiences. We stayed at Andrew's house near Ft. White and it was a great accommodation with a full kitchen and expansive yard with a fire pit to unwind in after diving.

Although I am partial to Andrew because I have known him for 4 years, he is the one of the very few people I would recommend to train someone for scuba diving. My uncle came from Colorado last week and spent a few days with Andrew earning his open water certification.

Andrew has a HUGE amount of experience diving all over the world and this includes even cave and ice diving. He once told me that he spends his spare time reading survival stories of divers so that he can learn even more about how to handle things that might go wrong on under the water. Let me put it this way. If I had to have any one person train me to survive an emergency under the water it would be Andrew.

He is patient and thorough and if you’re a beginner looking to learn or even more advanced and wanting to learn cave diving or some other specialty this is your guy!

After a long search for an instructor to work with me for a week of training I made the decision to work with Andy and it was the best decision in my diving career. I sent over a request for my dives and training and all was meet and exceeded. A emphasis on proper training and execution of dive plan was and the forefront of every dive. I don't know where to begin. First, I must say that Andy is a first rate scuba instructor. Since he holds a Ph.D in the biological sciences, he was able to explain in detail how exactly diving works and effects the body. He was more than happy to go beyond the basic information learned in the classes.
Andy is a kind, patient, and very trustworthy person to dive with. If you have the slightest bit of hesitation in questioning if diving is for you; go with Andy.
I had one of the best experiences, ever with 50 Fathoms Scuba, and plan to have Andy take me as far as I can go with my diving training.

I enjoyed having Andy at 50 Fathom Scuba guide me around some of the beautiful springs in Northern Florida. His knowledge of local dive sites, regulations, dive shops, and technical diving was impressive.
