As a current resident, I'm loving the stay, amenities and the view from my balcony.

The only downside is ofcourse the train noise. However, they've done a great job by insulating harsh noises coming from outside as much as possible.

I am a current resident and the biggest complain I have is the train noise. I live on the 4th floor facing the train station and it's simply unbearable in the living room, I didn't consider that other reviews who said they don't mind the noise might be on higher floor or might be facing the courtyard. If the bedroom door is closed it's not too bad but every train stops here so it's just constant noises from 5 in the morning to as late as 2 the next day. I thought I would get used to it but getting this apartment was one of the top 5 worst decisions I've made. The managers are really nice but not sure what they can do either.

We moved in a few months ago and love it! My son loves the view he has of the train station (luckily it's not too loud) The community is clean and well kept and the maintenance team is quick and professional. Highly recommend!

First and foremost, George is an absolute gem of a professional. My wife and I have seen a lot of places and George is by far the most customer-focused real estate professional we’ve encountered. Extremely helpful and sharp.

The place itself is a nice modern building with all of the amenities.

Have been living here for 9 months. The staff are very helpful and friendly (shoutout to Kari!). Whenever I go down to reception, there's always someone available and able to help me. If anything needs maintenance in the apartment, it's easy to create a ticket on the online portal and they resolve the issue very quickly within a couple of days. The package locker and mail slots are very safe and reliable. This is just one of the many Greystar owned apartments so the online portal is pretty good and easy to use. I use the fitness center all the time and have also found the community printer very useful. The location is great for being able to walk to all the restaurants downtown in a couple of minutes. My only complaints are that they make you pay for valet trash even if you wouldn't have opted in, Caltrain is very loud even through the insulated windows and it's very frequent, fitness center AC is usually not on, and for my personal unit the apartment layout is not ideal. Overall, would recommend as an apartment building!

Update: The AC in the gym has been fixed 🙂

I've only lived here for 3 months, but this is by far one of the best places I've lived at. It's in a super convenient location with everything from great food, shopping, and groceries all in walking distance. The neighborhood is so peaceful and perfect for walking my little pup around. And I have to say that the staff here is wonderful everyone is super helpful and any time I have an issue they make it a priority and try to help me the fastest way possible. If you're looking for somewhere beautiful and within walking distance of everything you would ever need I would highly recommend staying here!

I've lived at 201 Marshall for over 2 years and have had a fairly decent experience. We were the first tenants in our apartment and haven't had any major maintenance issues. The maintenance team has been quick to respond to the few minor issues that have come up. As another reviewer mentioned, there have been a few water issues in the building that required the water to be turned off for a few hours at a time, but they have always provided advanced notice.

The biggest issue I have is with the management team. Management has changed multiple times since I have lived here and it is really annoying. No one ever seems to know what is going on or how to solve any issues. There was one good business manager about a year ago, but she didn't stay for long. I've had lease issues and billing issues, all due to poor management, that have taken way too long for them to figure out and solve. The overall customer service is lacking and unprofessional. For the amount that we pay for rent, I would expect a more courteous management team that has a sense of urgency when dealing with issues that arise.

While the rent is expensive, it is comparable to other communities in the area. The rent and parking increase every time we renew, but not enough to offset the cost and hassle of moving. The location is ideal for those who commute by train and/or enjoy being within walking distance to the downtown area. The train is quite loud, but it's a small price to pay for the convenience.

Recently moved in and the place is really great, amenities are great, location is very convenient and both the community manager and assistant manager are wonderful and get back to you almost immediately. The building is also well maintained.
